INDIAN ARMY, ARMY RECRUITING OFFICE SILIGURI INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR SOLDIER GENERAL DUTY, SOLDIER TECHNICAL, SOLDIER TECHNICAL (AVIATION/ AMMUNITION EXAMINER), SOLDIER NURSING ASSISTANT, SOLDIER CLERK/ STORE KEEPER TECHNICAL AND SOLDIER TRADESMAN (ALL ARMS). LAST DATE — 28/12/2020
1. SOLDIER GENERAL DUTY
Educational Qualification: Class 10th/ Matric Pass with minimum 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject. For Boards following grading system minimum of D Grade (33-40) in individual subjects or grade which contains 33% and overall aggregate of C2 grade.
Age Limit: Between 17 ½ – 21 years as on 01/10/2020.
2. SOLDIER TECHNICAL
Educational Qualification: 10+2/ Intermediate Exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate in all subject and 40% marks in each subject.
Age Limit: Between 17 ½ – 23 years as on 01/10/2020.
3. SOLDIER TECHNICAL (AVIATION/ AMMUNITION EXAMINER)
Educational Qualification: 10+2/ Intermediate Exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate in all subject and 40% marks in each subject.
Age Limit: Between 17 ½ – 23 years as on 01/10/2020.
4. SOLDIER NURSING ASSISTANT
Educational Qualification: 10+2/ Intermediate Exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate in all subject and 40% marks in each subject.
OR
10+2/ Intermediate Exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate in all subject and 40% marks in each subject.
Age Limit: Between 17 ½ – 23 years as on 01/10/2020.
5. SOLDIER CLERK/ STORE KEEPER TECHNICAL
Educational Qualification: 10+2/ Intermediate Exam pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% in each subject. Securing 50% in English and Maths/ Accounts/ Book Keeping in Class 12th is mandatory.
Age Limit: Between 17 ½ – 23 years as on 01/10/2020.
6. SOLDIER TRADESMAN (ALL ARMS) 10TH PASS (CHEF, WASHERMEN, SUPPORT STAFF (ER), DRESSER, STEWARD, ARTISAN (WOOD WORK), PAINTER AND TAILOR)
Educational Qualification: i) Class 10th Simple Pass.
ii) No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored minimum 33% in each subject.
Age Limit: Between 17 ½ – 23 years as on 01/10/2020.
7. SOLDIER TRADESMAN (ALL ARMS) 8TH PASS (MESS KEEPER AND HOUSE KEEPER)
Educational Qualification: i) Class 8th Simple Pass.
ii) No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored minimum 33% in each subject.
Age Limit: Between 17 ½ – 23 years as on 01/10/2020.
Note:- Only candidates of districts Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling, Alipurduar, Malda, Kalimpong, Uttar Dinajpur, Dakshin Dinajpur and Cooch Behar of West Bengal State are eligible to apply.
Physical Standards (For all above posts):
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 169 cm (162 cm for Soldier Clerk/ Store Keeper Technical); Chest (unexpanded) — 77 cm (76 cm for Soldier Tradesman); Chest (expanded) — 82 cm (81 cm for Soldier Tradesman)
Cut-off in Physical Standards: For candidates belonging to certain categories/ communities or of certain States/Areas; the cut-off in such candidate’s Height/ Chest’s measurement will be as per Govt. norms. Please see officially released advertisement for more details.
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection will be through Army Recruitment Rally consisting of Physical Fitness Test, Physical Measurement, Medical Test and Written Test through Common Entrance Examination (CEE).
