Indian Bureau of Mines (IBM), as Advt. No. 1/2013, dated—27/05/2013, is recruiting 33 Nos. Technical Assistant posts and Group C posts – Draftsman, Store keeper, Store Clerk, Mechanic, Electrician, Lab Asst., Chainman, Jr. Press Asst, Pilot Plant Asst. and Etc. Eligible and interested candidates may apply on prescribed application format within scheduled date. Brief details is given below —
Group ‘B’ (Non Gazetted) and Group ‘C’ posts in Indian Bureau of Mines are as follows —
1. SR. TECHINICAL ASSISTANT (MINING ENGINEERING): 4 Nos. (Gen—2; OBC—2)
Qualification: Diploma in Mining Engineering (3yrs course after Matriculation) or its equivalent and 3yrs experience in mines, preferably underground mines.
Age Limit: 18yrs to 27yrs.
2. SR. TECHNICAL ASSISTANT (CHEMISTRY): 3 Nos. (Gen—2; OBC—1)
Qualification: Master’s degree in Chemistry preferably with specializations in inorganic or Physical Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry
OR Bachelor’s degree in Science with Chemistry as one of the subject with 3yrs experience in analysis or ores and minerals.
Age Limit: 20yrs to 30yrs.
3. SR. TECHNICAL ASSISTANT (SURVEY): 1 Nos. (OBC)
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent and Mine surveyors Competency Certificate OR Exchange Certificate awarded by the Board of Mining Examination Dhanbad OR Diploma in Mining and Mines surveying (3yrs course after matriculation) OR Diploma of ITI of 2yrs course in Surveying.
Age Limit: 20yrs to 30yrs.
4. JR. TECHNICAL ASSISTANT (ORE DRESSING): 1 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Master’s degree in Ore- Dressing, Mineral processing or Geology or Chemistry or Physics OR Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy or its equivalent
OR Bachelor’s degree in Ore-Dressing of Geology or Chemistry or Physics with two years experience in Ore-Dressing or Mineralogy
Age Limit: 18yrs to 30yrs
5. PILOT PLANT ASSISTANT: 1 Nos. (ST)
Qualification: Matriculation or its equivalent with 5yrs experience of work in an ore dressing laboratory or in ore dressing pilot plant.
Age Limit: 20yrs to 27yrs.
6. DRAFTSMAN: 3 Nos. (OBC—2; ST—1)
Qualification: Matriculation or its equivalent and should have a Diploma or Certificate of not less than two years duration in (Civil/ Mechanical) Draftsmanship from National Council for Training in Vocational Trades (NCTVT)
Age Limit: between 18yrs to 27yrs.
7. ASSISTANT STORE KEEPER (TECHNICAL): 1 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: 10+2 with Mathematics as one of the subjects AND 3yrs service in Central Govt. or recognized organization/ institution in handling Engineering or Technical Stores.
Age Limit: 18yrs to 30yrs.
8. STORE CLERK: 4 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent and experience in handling technical stores for not less a year in a recognized Organization/ Institution.
Typing speed of 30 wpm in Hindi or English is desirable.
Age Limit: 18yrs to 27yrs.
9. MECHANIC: 1 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: ITI certificate as Machineman or Fitter or Mechanic
OR Matriculation plus 5 years experience in maintenance or repairs of ore dressing or similar machines in a scientific laboratory.
Age Limit: 18yrs to 30yrs.
10. ELECTRICIAN: 1 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Matriculation or its equivalent and should be a holder of Wireman Electric License and should have atleast 2yrs experience as Electrician in an environment where electric motors run on 3 phase supply.
Age Limit: 18yrs to 27yrs.
11. LABORATORY ATTENDANT: 3 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent and 2 years experience of work in a scientific laboratory.
Possession of ‘B’ and ‘C’ certificate of the National Cadet Corps Training is desirable.
Age Limit: 18yrs to 27yrs.
12. CHAINMAN: 9 Nos. (Gen—6; OBC—2; SC—1)
Qualification: Matriculation or its equivalent and must have experience of working with some survey party in a field or in a mine.
Age Limit: 18yrs to 27yrs.
13. JR. PRESS ASSISTANT: 1 Nos. (OBC)
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent and 2 years diploma in Printing and Composing from ITI. Candidates must have 2 years experience in hand composing or operating treadle printing press or offset printing press or Xerographic equipment specially relating to technical book work.
Age Limit: 18yrs to 27yrs.
Upper age relaxation: Age will be counted as on last date of the application. Reservation for SC/ST and OBC candidates is as per Govt. norms.
