Indian Coast Guard is Recruiting Few Hundreds Candidates for the post of General Commandant.

Indian Coast Guard is recruiting few hundred candidates for the post of General Commandant through direct candidates’ selection written exam. The post and qualification required is as follows:

1. Assistant Commandant (General Duty): Unmarried boys Higher Secondary pass with Physics and Math and then passed Graduate in any stream with 60% total marks can apply. Date of birth should be between 1.7.1986 to 30-6-1990. Height should be 157 cm (152 cm in case of Tripura, Assam and Gorkhas) and expansion of chest capacity should be 5 cm. Weight should be corresponding to the height. Eye sight, without any glass, with good eye-6/6 and with bad eye-6/9

2. Assistant Commandant General Duty (Pilot-Navigator): Candidates with total 55% marks in B.Sc with Physics and Math can apply for the post. Date of birth should be between 1.7.1984 to 30.6.1992. Do not apply if not selected in Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT). Height should be between 162.5 cm to 197 cm. leg- 99 cm. Weight should be corresponding to the height.  Chest expanding ability should be 5 cm and eye sight with both eyes should be 6/6 without glass.

3. Assistant Commandant (Commercial Pilot License): Unmarried boys with 60% total mark in Higher Secondary (Class-12) and should have Commercial Pilot License can apply for the post. Body height and measurement is same as above mentioned post.

4. Assistant Commandant Technical (Mechanical and Aeronautical): Graduate with total 60% marks in any one of engineering course:- Mechanical, Marine, Design, Production, Naval, Architecture or Aeronautical Engineering. Birth date should be between 1.7.1981 to 30.6.1990. Height– 157 cm (152 in case of Tripura, Assam and Gorkhas). Ability to expand 5 cm in chest. Body weight should be corresponding to height. Eye sight with good eye- 6/12 and bad eye-6/36.

Age relaxation for all the above post is—for OBC: 3 yrs and SC/ST: 5yrs. Pay scale per month: Rs.15600 to 39100 and Grade pay—Rs. 5400.

For candidate selection, name registration will be held face to face at 8 am to 11 am at the following address: Indian Coast Guard Air Squadron- 700, Naval Transmitting Station, Military Camp, Bagjola, Private Road, Kolkata—74.

During name registration, candidate will require to produce the following documents in original and attested copies:-

  • 2 nos. of Application form prepared according to the given format.
  • Certificate of Madhayamik (class-10) for proof of age
  • Mark sheet and certificate of Higher Secondary
  • B.E/ B.Tech/Degree course marksheet and certificate
  • Passport, Driving License, Voter ID card, College ID card or any other photo identity card for identification.
  • Caste certificate in case of SC/ST or OBC candidates
  • Character Certificate
  • Recently taken 10 copies pass port size color photo
  • D.G.C.A. recognized current and valid Commercial Pilot License (Required for post no.3)
