Indian Coast Guard, under Ministry of Defence, is inviting application from eligible candidates to join the Indian Coast Guard as a Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officer in the rank of Assistant Commandant. The engagement is going on various branches (See below). RECRUITMENT OF ASSISTANT COMMANDANT (02/2015 BATCH). BRANCH AND ELIGIBILITY ARE AS FOLLOWS —

1. BRANCH: GENERAL DUTY
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree with minimum 60% marks in aggregate. Applicant should have studied Mathematics and Physics as subject upto Higher Secondary (Class 12) level and have acquired 60% aggregate marks of both subjects.
Only Male candidates are eligible to apply.
Date of Birth: 01 Jul 1990 to 30 Jun 1994 (both dates inclusive).

 

2. BRANCH: GENERAL DUTY (PILOT, NAVIGATOR/OBSERVER)
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree with minimum 60% marks in aggregate. Applicant should have studied Mathematics and Physics as subject upto Higher Secondary (Class 12) level and have acquired 60% aggregate marks of both subjects.
Only Male candidates are eligible to apply.
Date of Birth: 01 Jul 1990 to 30 Jun 1996 (both dates inclusive).

 

3. BRANCH: TECHNICAL (MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL)
Qualification: Engineering degree in relevant discipline with 60% marks in aggregate (See website of Indian Coast Guard for alternative eligible qualification).
Candidates should have acquired 60% marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics in class 12 OR 03 years Diploma course with 60% marks aggregate.
Only Male candidates are eligible to apply.
Date of Birth: 01 Jul 1990 to 30 Jun 1994 (both dates inclusive).

 

4. BRANCH: PILOTS (HELICOPTER AND FIXED WING) COMMERCIAL PILOT LICENSE HOLDERS
Qualification: Class 12 pass with 60% marks in aggregate and should have also obtained 60% marks in aggregate in Mathematics and Physics subjects. Applicant should posses valid Commercial Pilot Licence
Only Male candidates are eligible to apply.
Date of Birth: 01 Jul 1990 to 30 Jun 1996 (both dates inclusive).

 

5. BRANCH: GENERAL DUTY (WOMEN)
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree with minimum 60% marks in aggregate. Applicant should have studied Mathematics and Physics as subject upto Higher Secondary (Class 12) level and have acquired 60% aggregate marks of both subjects.
Only female candidates are eligible to apply.
Date of Birth: 01 Jul 1990 to 30 Jun 1994 (both dates inclusive).

 

6. BRANCH: LAW
Qualification: Degree in Law with minimum 60% marks in aggregate
Only Male candidates are eligible to apply.
Date of Birth: 01 Jul 1985 to 30 Jun 1994 (both dates inclusive).

 

Note: Relaxation of 5% marks in aggregate in the degree qualification as mentioned above for respective branch will be given to SC/ST candidates, NCC ‘C’ certificate holder, Sportsperson and Wards of Coast Guard uniform personnel deceased while in service. However no relaxation will be given for 12th/ High Secondary class marks.

The Preliminary Selection of the candidates will be conducted in Dec 2014/ Jan 2015 at various centres across the Country. For State West Bengal, the examination centre will be at KOLKATA. Candidates may download their Admit card from the month of December onwards. Candidates should regularly visit the website of Indian Coast Guard for such notifications.

Upon successful submission of online application form, the system generated Registration Slip with unique Registration Number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it in two copies out of which one copy enclosed with attested copies of testimonials is to be produce at the recruitment centre, if called. The other copy should be retained by the candidate for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/ DOCUMENT TO INDIAN COAST GUARD AT THIS STAGE.
