Indian Coast Guard, under Ministry of Defence, is application for various branches in the rank of “Assistant Commandant” against Special Recruitment Drive for SC & ST category. Only unmarried SC/ST candidates are eligible to apply. Application can be submitted only through Online Application Mode from the official website of Coast Guard. ASSISTANT COMMANDANT
Branches and Educational Qualification are as follows —
1. Branch: General Duty
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree with minimum 55% marks in aggregate. Should have studied Mathematics and Physics as subject up to intermediate or class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education.
Age: Should be born between 01 Jul 1985 to 30 Jun 1994 (both dates inclusive).
2. Branch: General Duty (Pilot)
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree with minimum 55% marks in aggregate. Should have studied Mathematics and Physics as subject up to intermediate or class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education.
Age: Should be born between 01 Jul 1985 to 30 Jun 1996 (both dates inclusive).
3. Branch: Technical (Mechanical and Electrical)
Qualification: Engineering degree with 55% marks in aggregate or Should have passed Sections A and B examination from the Institution of Engineers (India) in any of the discipline listed below with 55% marks.
— Engineering Branch: Naval architecture or Mechanical or Marine or Automotive or Mechatronics or Industrial and Production or Metallurgy or Design.
— Electrical Branch: Electrical or Electronics or Telecommunication or Instrumentation or Instrumentation and Control or Electronics and Communication or Power Engg. Or Power Electronics.
Age: Should be born between 01 Jul 1985 to 30 Jun 1984 (both dates inclusive).

The recruitment is against Special Recruitment Drive for ST and ST candidates, so only unmarried SC and ST candidates are eligible to apply.

On successful submission of the online application a unique Application/Registration number will be provided to the candidate. Candidates must note down this application number for future reference and for retrieval/ reprint of admit card.
Candidates must print-out the system generated Registration Slip in two and shall retain those safely for future correspondence, i.e. will have to produce at the examination centre along with testimonials/ documents in original copies.
