Discipline — Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics.
Educational Qualification: Matriculation (Madhyamik) pass and 03 years Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical/ Electronic Engineering with 60% in aggregate (55% in case of SC/ST/Sportsperson) may apply.
Age: Minimum 18yrs and maximum 22yrs, i.e. candidates shall be born between 01 Aug 1992 to 31 Jul 1996. Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates.
Physical Standards Required:
(a) Height — Minimum height 157 cms. Reduction in height for candidates from hilly areas and tribal areas will be in accordance with the Central Govt. orders.
(b) Chest — Should be well proportioned. Minimum expansion 5 cms.
(c) Weight — Proportionate to height and age +10% acceptable.
(d) Hearing — Normal
(e) Visual Standards — 6/24 without glasses and 6/9 & 6/12 with glasses for Better Eye and Worse Eye respectively.
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Candidates will be selected through Written Test, Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Examination.
The written tests will be objective type. The questions paper will contain questions from their respective discipline (Mechanical /Electrical/Electronics & Telecommunication.
Those who qualify written tests will undergo Physical Fitness Test (PFT), interview and initial Medical Examination.
The Written Examination will be held at respective centres at — Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Kochi, Visakhapatnam, Gandhi Nagar, Noida and Paradip.
Candidates from West Bengal may select “Kolkata” as their Examination centre during submission of Online application.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
— 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7minutes.
— 20 squat ups (Uthak Baithak)
— 10 Push ups.
How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of Indian Coast Guard — www.joinindiancoastguard.gov.in (See live URL to Application form given below).
Candidates shall read the instruction on how to apply online carefully from the below given PDF file.
After filling all the details on the online application, click the ‘Submit’ button. Upon successful submission of online Application form, the system generated Registration Slip with unique Registration Number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates shall take a print-out of it in two copies and shall retain it safely for future correspondence. Do not send it to anywhere.
Candidates will require to produces the print-outs in two copies at the recruitment centre, if shortlisted.
Candidates shall appear with the photocopies of all required documents i.e. 10th class certificate/mark sheet showing date of birth, diploma certificate showing percentage of marks, caste certificate wherever required, at the Recruitment Centre.

my DOB 07/02/1989…so can i apply for this post…pls rply…
