Indian Coast Guard is recruiting unmarried Male candidates for the post of “Yantrik”. Madhyamik pass candidates with diploma in below mentioned discipline may apply for the post. 1. YANTRIK
Essential Qualification: Madhyamik pass and 3 years of Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronic Engineering recognized by AICTE with minimum 60% of marks in aggregate.
Age limits: Candidates born between 01 Feb 1991 to 31 Jan 1995. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST—5yrs and OBC—3yrs.

After successful submission of Online application form; candidates should print-out the system generated Registration Slip in two copies. There is no need to send any application or documents by post.
One copy of Registration slip along with duly signed passport size photograph and Attested copies of documents in support of Qualification, Age, Caste and Etc should be produced at the Examination Centre during recruitment process.
Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination, Physical Fitness Test and Medical Examination. The question paper will contain questions from their respective discipline (Mechanical /Electrical/Electronics & Telecommunication) in bilingual. The Written Examination will be conducted on 08-11-2012 at the following cities — Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Kochi, Visakhapatnam, Gandhi Nagar, Noida, Paradip and New Mangalore.
Candidates qualified the Written Examination will be called for Physical Fitness Test which will be of –
- 1.6 Km run to be completed in 6 minutes 30 seconds.
- 20 squat ups (Uthak Baithak)
- 10 Push ups.
Finally qualified candidates will go for Medical Fitness Test.
Physical Standards:—
Height: 157 cms.
Chest: Should be well proportioned. Minimum expansion 5 cms.
Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per medical standard.
Candidates should have normal Hearing and Visual as well as good mental and physical health.
The basic training will commence in Feb 2013 at INS Chilka followed by sea training and professional training. Yantriks are liable to be discharged as UNSUITABLE due to unsatisfactory performance at any time during the training.
