Indian Navy – Enrolment as Sailors for Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR)-01/2015 Batch. Last Dt. 08/06/2014

Indian Navy is inviting application from unmarried Male candidates for enrolment as SAILORS for Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR)-01/2015 Batch. Course commencing February 2015. Interested and eligible candidates may apply online though the official website of Indian Navy (See URL below). Educational qualification norms and other details in brief are given below —

SAILORS IN INDIAN NAVY
Educational Qualification: 10+2 or equivalent with Maths, Physics and atleast one of the following subjects – Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science.

Age (Born between): 01 Feb 1994 to 31 Jan 1998 (Both days inclusive)

Pay and Allowances: During training period stipend of Rs.5700/- per month will be given. Upon successful completion of training, candidates will be absorbed in Pay Scale of Rs.5200—20200 with Grade Pay: Rs.2000/- plus MSP of Rs.2000/- plus other allowances as per norms.

Candidates’ Selection: 
Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Medical Examination.
Written Test will be Objective type and will comprise – English, Science,Mathematics and General Knowledge of 10+2 syllabus.

Physical Fitness Test will be — (i) Run of 1.6 KM within 7 minutes, (ii) 20 squat ups (Uthak Baithak) and (iii) 10 Push-ups.

Medical/ Physical Standards: (a) Minimum height 157 cms. (b) Weight and Chest should be proportionate. Minimum Chest expansion of 5 cms.

The candidate must be in good physical and mental health, free from any defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duties.

After successful submission of online Application form, the system generated form with user details will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it in 02 copies. One copy shall be kept safely for future use and other copy shall be sent to the below given address alongwith attested copies of matriculation certificate, 10+2 marksheet, domicile, NCC Certificate (if held) and one self-addressed envelope of size 22×10 cms with Rs 10/- stamp affixed on it.

Address the send the Print-out with enclosures: The computer generated user submitted Application is to be address to the relevant authority (State Wise/ Regional wise). FOR LIST OF ADDRESS (STATE WISE) SEE THE LINK GIVEN BELOW. 
For Candidates residing in WEST BENGAL may addressed their application to — “POST BOX NO.02, LODHI ROAD, NEW DELHI – 110 03”. Application shall reach by ORDINARY POST only.
Superscribe the top of the envelope with – “Online SSR Application -01/15 batch & 10+2 percentage ___%”.
