Indian Navy invites unmarried Male candidates for enrolment as Sailors for SSR-02/2014 Batch. Last Dt. 06/12/2013

Indian Navy is inviting Application form from the unmarried Male candidates for enrolment as Sailors for Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR)—02/2014 Batch. Course commencing August-2014. Interested and eligible candidates may submit their Application form through Online mode from the official website of Indian Navy. Qualification norms and brief details are given below —

INDIAN NAVY INVITES UNMARRIED MALE CANDIDATES FOR ENROLMENT AS SAILORS FOR SSR-02/2014 BATCH. LAST DATE — 06/12/2013

SAILORS FOR SENIOR SECONDARY RECRUITS (SSR)—02/2014 BATCH. 
Education Qualification: 10+2 or equivalent with Maths and Physics and atleast any one of the following subjects — Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science.

Age: Candidates must be born between 01 Aug 1993 to 31 Jul 1997 (Both dates inclusive).

Pay Scale: Initially during training period, stipend of Rs.5700/- per month will be given and on successful completion of training, the candidates will be placed in the pay band Rs. Rs.5200-20200 with Grade pay of Rs.2000/- plus MSP of Rs.2000/- plus DA. See the advt. link below for details.

Candidates’ Selection: 
Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test, Physical Fitness Test and Medical Examination.

Written Examination will be set in Hindi and English and will be objective type. The question will comprise the following subjects of 10+2 syllabus— English, Science, Mathematics and General Knowledge

Physical Fitness Test (PFT) will consist of 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squat ups (UthakBaithak) and 10Push-ups.

Medical Standards — Candidates must be minimum 157 cms in height. Weight and Chest should be proportionate. Minimum Chest expansion of 5 cms.
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties. 

Eye Sight: 6/6 and 6/9 without Glasses with better eye and worse eye respectively AND 6/6/ and 6/6 with Glasses with Better eye and Worse eye respectively.

The course will commence in August, 2014 with 24 weeks BasicTraining at INSChilkafollowed byProfessional training intheallottedtrade invarious Naval TrainingEstablishments.

After submitting the online Application form, the system generated Registration slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out the generated slip and shall send it through ORDINARY POST at the their respective State wise addresses (See the Advt. for list of address as per State)

The print-out form must be enclosed with attested copies of matriculation certificate, 10+2marksheet, domicile,NCC Certificate (if held) & one self-addressed envelope of size 22×10 cms with Rs 10/- stamp affixed on it.

The candidates of West Bengal State may send their system generated Application form along with enclosures at the following address (by Ordinary Post only) Post Box No.02, Lodhi Road, New Delhi—110 003
