SAILORS – SPORTS QUOTA ENTRY-01/2017 BATCH
Name of the sport where vacancies are available — 1. Athletics, 2. Aquatics, 3. Basket-ball, 4.Boxing, 5. Cricket, 6. Football, 7. Gymnastics, 8. Handball, 9.Hockey, 10 Kabaddi, 11. Volleyball, 12.Weightlifting, 13. Wrestling, 14.Squash, 15.Best Physique and 16. Equestrian (Horse Polo)
- DIRECT ENTRY PETTY OFFICER
Educational Qualification: 10+2 qualified in any stream or equivalent examination.
Sports Proficiency:
(i) Team Games: Should have participated at International /National/State level at junior /senior level or represented a University in the Inter University tournament.
(ii) Individual Events: Should have attained a minimum of 6th position in Nationals (seniors) or 3rd position in National (juniors) or 3rd position in the Inter University meets.
Age Limit: Minimum-17 years and maximum-22 years
Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- Rs.20200/- and Grade Pay Rs.2000/-
- SENIOR SECONDARY RECRUITMENT (SSR)
Educational Qualification: 10+2 qualified in any stream or equivalent examination.
Sports Proficiency: Should have participated at International/National/State level or represented a University in the Inter University tournament.
Age Limit: Minimum-17 years and maximum-21 years
Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- Rs.20200/- and Grade Pay Rs.2000/-
- MATRIC RECRUITS (MR)
Educational Qualification: 10th /equivalent qualified.
Sports Proficiency: Should have participated at International/National/State level tournament.
Age Limit: Minimum-17 years and maximum-21 years
Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- Rs.20200/- and Grade Pay Rs.2000/-
- NON MATRIC RECRUITS (NMR)
Educational Qualification: Passed VIth standard.
Sports Proficiency: Should have participated at International/National/State level tournament.
Age Limit: Minimum-17 years and maximum-21 years
Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- Rs.20200/- and Grade Pay Rs.2000/-
Physical Standards (For all above posts):
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 157 cms; Chest – Should be proportionate as per height and Weight and Weight: As per medical Standard.
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Trail Test and Medical examination. Medical examination will be held at INS Hamla, Mumbai
