Short Service Commission in Executive Branch viz General Service/Hydro/IT and Technical Branch viz General Service/Submarine/Naval Architecture of the Indian Navy for Jun 17 Course at Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala

EXECUTIVE BRANCH

1. General Service/ Hydrography Cadre (only Men)
Educational Qualification:BE/B.Tech (Any Discipline) with 60% marks.
Age Limit:Minimum-19 .5 years and maximum-25 years

 

2. IT (only Men)
Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech (Computer Science/Computer Engg/IT),  B.Sc (IT), M.Tech (Computer Science), BCA/MCA with minimum 60% marks
Age Limit: Minimum-19.5 years and maximum-25 years

 

TECHNICAL BRANCH

3. Engineering Branch (General Service) (only Men)
Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech in any one of the following stream – Mechanical, Marine, Automotive, Mechtronics,  Industrial & Production, Metallurgy ,  Aeronautical/Aerospace, BS Marine Engg with minimum 60% marks
Age Limit: Minimum-19.5 years and maximum-25 years

 

4. Electrical Branch (General Service) (only Men)
Educational Qualification: B.E / B. Tech in any one of the following stream – Electrical, Electronics , Tele Communication, Instrumentation and Control Engg,  Electronics and Instrumentation, Electronics and Communication, Power Engineering, Control System, Power Electronics with minimum 60% marks
Age Limit: Minimum-19.5 years and maximum-25 years

 

5. Engineering Branch (Submarine) (only Men)
Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech in any one of the following stream – Mechanical,  Marine, Automotive, Mechtronics, Industrial & Production, Metallurgy , Aeronacal /Aerospace, BS Marine Engg., Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Control Automation & Robotics, Industrial Engg. & Management, Production Engg. with minimum 55% marks.
Age Limit: Minimum-19.5 and maximum-25 years

 

6. Electrical Branch (Submarine) (only Men)
Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech in any one of the following stream – Electrical,  Electronics, Control, Telecommunication, Instrumentation, Power Engg, Electronics & Communication, Control System, Power Electronics with minimum 55% marks
Age Limit: Minimum-19.5 years and maximum-25 years

 

7. Naval Architecture (Men and Women):
Educational Qualification: B.E / B.Tech in any one of the following stream – Mechanical, Civil, Aeronautical, Aerospace, Metallurgy , Naval Architecture with minimum 60% marks
Age Limit: Minimum-19 .5 years and maximum-25 years

 

Physical Standards:
(a) Height : Male – Minimum 157 cm, Female – Minimum 152 cm

Candidates should meet the prescribed eye sight with/without glass. See the below given PDF file for more details.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Interview. Interview will be conducted in two Stages. Stage-I test consisting of Intelligence Test, Picture Perception and Discussion test and Stage-II tests consists of Psychological testing, Group testing and Interview.

Interview will be held at Bangalore/Bhopal/Coimbatore/Visakhapatnam during Nov 16 to Mar 17

Exact Date, Time and Venue for examination/interview will be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course as well as such information will be also available in the official website of Indian Navy

Training is scheduled to commence in Jun 2017 at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala. After training candidates will be inducted as officers in the rank of Sub Lieutenant.

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of Indian Navy — www.joinindiannavy.gov.in (See link to Application form given below) from dated 13/08/2016 to 03/09/2016.

Upon successful submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it in two copies on plain A4 size paper. One copy of the print-out must be retained by the candidate for future references and other copy, along with attested copies of testimonials (qualification certificate/mark sheet, age proof, caste certificate, experience certificate if applicable and etc), is to be send at the below given address so as to reach on or before 13/09/2016.
