The Indian Navy is inviting application from the unmarried male candidates to join as Short Service Commissioned (SSC) Officers in Executive Branch (Information Technology). The course will be commence from Dec—2012 at Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala. Interested and willing candidates may apply online from the official site of Indian Navy. Eligibility and Qualification criteria is given below in brief—
Required Qualification: Candidates should have done graduation in any one of the following – (i) BE/B.Tech (Computer Science/Computer Engg./ IT), (ii) B.Sc (IT), (iii) M.Tech (Computer Science), (iii) M.Sc (Computer) and (iv) BCA/MCA
Age limit: Date of birth of candidate should be between (inclusive of both dates)- 2nd Jan 1988 to 1st July 1993.
Physical Standards:—
Height: 157 cms
Weight: corresponding to height and age.
Eye sight: 6/60, 6/60
Candidates should have sound health and free from any physical defect. Candidates should be physical fit and should not be color/night blind
Selection Steps: Selection will be made by Services Selection Board. Shortlist will be prepared on basis of performance in Degree course.
Interview will be in two stage. In State-I there will be Intelligence test, Picture Perception and Discussion Test. Qualified candidates will go for Stage-II. Stage—II will be of Psychological testing, Group testing.
Finally candidates will have to go for Medical Examination.
Qualified and successful candidates will go Training which will commence in Dec 2012 at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala.
Candidates finally selected for Executive (IT) will be inducted as officers in the rank of Sub Lieutenant and undergo 22 Weeks respectively Naval Orientation Course at the Naval Academy, Ezhimala, followed by professional training in Naval Ships and Training Establishments.
