Indian Navy under the scheme of “Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR-01/2012 Batch)” is recruiting some unmarried boys for the post of “Navik/ Sailor”. Candidates will be selected through face-to-face mode (i.e. through direct rally)
Post: Navik/ Sailor
Required Qualification: Higher Secondary Pass Boys with subjects Physics and Mathematics as a compulsory subject and may have any one of the mentioned subject as an optional subject – Chemistry/Biology/Computer.
Date of Birth: D.O.B. should be within 31-1-1991 to 30-01-1995
Physical Height and Weight Measurement: Candidates Height – minimum 157 cm; Chest – should have a ability to expand chest by 5 cm, Weight – should be correspondence with candidates height and age. Required Eyesight: 06/06 with good eyes and 06/09 with bad eyes without any glass. For candidates with glass – 06/06 with good eyes and 06/06 with bad eyes.
Candidates should be physically fit and fine without broken knees, Night Blindness, Flatfoot and etc.
In beginning period there will be basic training of 24 weeks and then required professional training in Navy. Stipend at that period – Rs. 5700. If selected, job will be in the post of “Sailor”.
Pay scale – Rs. 5200-Rs. 20,200.
Selection Step: for selection of candidates there will be Written Test, Physical Ability Test and Physical Weight and Height Measurement. Finally there will be Medical Examination
written test will fuel for papers – English, General Knowledge, Science and Mathematics. Exam will be of one-hour of objective type questions From the Syllabus of Higher Secondary level.
Physical ability test will be of – 1.6 km race within 7 min, 25 times Sit-Up and 10 times Push-Up.

How to Apply: There is no need to prepare any application form or send any application to anywhere. Candidates should directly present at the rally on 29 September, 2011 at 6:30 AM with all the original and attested copy of documents at the following address – Indian Naval Ship Netaji Subash Heisting, Kolkata-22.
Candidates should carry all Original Document as well as Xerox copy duly attested by Gazetted officer. The name of the attesting Gazetted Officer and the address should be clearly mentioned.

- Madhyamik certificate
- Higher Secondary Pass Certificate and Mark Sheet
- NCC certificate, if any
- One self-address envelope (22x10cm) with affix postal stamp Rs. 10
- Residential Certificate
- Recently taken 7 Nos. colour passport size photograph
