Indian Ordnance Factories, under Ministry of Defence, is recruiting 1572 Chargeman (Non-Gazetted Group ‘B’) in various trades — Mechanical, IT, Electrical, Chemical, Civil, Metallurgy, Non-Technical, Automobile, Electronics and Etc. CHARGEMAN (NON-GAZETTED GROUP ‘B’)
Number of Vacancies: 1572 Nos. (Gen—905; OBC—361; SC—208; ST—98). Out of total vacancies, 45 is reserved for PH candidates.

1. Mechanical: 875 Nos.
2. Information Technology: 23 Nos.
3. Electrical: 133 Nos.
4. Chemical: 296 Nos.
5. Civil: 39 Nos.
6. Metallurgy: 46 Nos.
7. Clothing Technology: 32 Nos.
8. Leather Technology: 4 Nos.
9. Non-Technical (Stores): 41 Nos.
10. Non-Technical (Other than Stores): 60 Nos.
11. Automobile: 3 Nos.
12. Electronics: 20 Nos.
Educational Qualification: —
For Mechanical Engg., Electrical Engg., Civil Engg., Automobile and Electronics: 03 years Diploma in the relevant discipline.
For Chemical, Metallurgy, Clothing Technology and Leather Technology: 03 years Diploma or equivalent in the relevant discipline OR B.Sc degree with General Chemistry as one of the major subject.
For Information Technology: Must pass “A” level competency certificate course or equivalent qualification in Computer Science
For Non-Technical (Stores) and Non-Technical (Other than stores): Graduate Degree in Engineering/ Technical/ Humanities/ Science/ Commerce/ Law etc.
Note: Candidates with higher qualification are also eligible to apply.
Age Limit: Maximum 27 years as on 09/08/2014. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.
Candidates’ Selection: The selection of the candidates will be on basis of performance in Written Examination. For syllabus, see the pdf file given below. Date and venue of Examination will be intimated in due course.
Written examination will be hold at various centres, viz. — Ambernath (near Kalyan, Mumbai), Aruvankadu (Near Ooty), Badmal (Odisha), Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Jabalpur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Medak (Near Hyderabad), Muradnagar (Near Delhi), Nagpur, Pune, Trichy.
There will be no Interview/Personality Tests.
Application Fee: Candidates willing to apply for the vacancies shall pay Application Fee of Rs.100/- bank Remittance only in favour of – PRINCIPAL DIRECTOR, RECRUITMENT FUND OFRB, AMBAJHARI- NAGPUR.
Candidates shall pay Rs.50/- additionally to the bank as bank’s charges.
NO APPLICATION FEE FOR SC/ST, WOMEN AND PH CANDIDATES.
