Indo Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP), under Ministry of Home Affairs, is recruiting 717 candidates for the posts of – Inspector, Sub-Inspector, Head Constable and Constable, in Group-B & C, on temporary basis likely to be permanent in the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force. Qualification Norms and eligibility criteria —
1. For Inspector (Hindi Translator) (For both Male and Female candidates): Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects
Age Limits: maximum 30yrs
2. Head Constable (Dresser Veterinary – Male candidates only): Matriculation or equivalent and must have passed Veterinary Stock Assistant Course from a recognized Institution.
Age Limits: 18yrs to 25yrs.
3. Constable (Animal Transport – Male candidates only): Matriculation or equivalent.
Age Limits: between 18yrs to 25yrs.
4. Sub-Inspector (Overseer – Male candidates only): matriculation or equivalent with a Diploma in Civil Engineering from an Institute recognized by the Central Government.
Age Limits: 20yrs to 25yrs.
5. Constable [Pioneer (Electrician/ Plumber/ Painter/ Welder/ Mason/ Carpenter) male candidates only]: Matriculation or equivalent with One year’s experience in the trade of Mason or Carpenter or Plumber or Electrician or Welder or Painter.
Age Limits: 18yrs to 23yrs.
6. Head Constable (Motor Mechanic – male only): Matriculation/ Class 10 pass and Certificate in Motor Mechanic from a recognized institution or ITI with 3 years practical experience in the trade in a reputed workshop OR 3 years diploma in Automobile Engineering.
Age Limits: 19yrs to 25yrs.
7. Constable (Motor Mechanic – for Male candidates only): Matriculation/Class 10 pass and Certificate from recognized Institutions or ITI in Automobile Engineering/ Motor Mechanic trade.
Age Limits: 18yrs to 25yrs.
8. Constable (Driver – for male candidates only): Matriculation/ Class 10 pass and must posses Valid driving License for Light/Medium/Heavy vehicles with minimum 2 years experience in driving
Age Limits: 20yrs to 25yrs.
N.B: Age will be counted as on 22-04-2013. Upper age relaxation for OBC – 3yrs; SC/ST – 5yrs and ex-serviceman and Other categories – as per norms.

Eligible candidates only will be issued Admit Cards to appear in recruitment test. The engagement to the posts are on temporary basis but likely to be permanent.
All eligible candidates will be duly informed about the date and venue of the recruitment tests through admit card.

Application fee: Rs.50/- is to be paid by means of “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)” only. CRFS stamps are available at the counter of all Post Offices of the country. Recruitment Fee Stamps should be pasted on the application form in the space earmarked for the purpose and got cancelled from the Counter of Post Office of issue with the date stamp
