Indo Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBPF), under Ministry of Home Affairs, is recruiting 10 Nos. Assistant Commandant (Engineer). Eligible candidates may apply for the post of prescribed Application format before 15/03/2013. Qualification requirement and brief information is given below. —
ASSISTANT COMMANDANT (ENGINEER) (Group-A Non-Ministerial Combatised Post).
No. of Vacancies: 10 Nos. (Gen—6; OBC—3; SC—1)
Qualification: Degree in Civil Engineering from an recognized Institution.
Age Limits: Must be within 30yrs as on 15-03-2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST—5yrs; OBC—3yrs, Others—as per norms.
Physical Standards—
For Male candidates: Height—165cms (163cm for Gorkhas, Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Dogras, Marathas AND 162 in case of Adivasis); Chest—81cms unexpanded and 86 cms expanded; Weight—Minimum 50 Kg.
For Female Candidates: Height—157 cms; Weight—proportionate to height.
Eye sight (For both male/ female and without glass): 6/6 and 6/9 in Distant vision AND 0.6 and 0.8 in Near vision.
Candidates must not have knock-knees, flat foot or squint in eyes. Candidates must be physically well built and free from any bodily defects which hinder the performance of the duties.
Pay scale: Rs.15600—39100 and Grade pay: Rs.5400/- plus other allowances.
Selection of the candidates with through – (i) Preliminary Physical Screening, (ii) Physical Efficiency Test (PET), (iii) Written Examination, (iv) Interview and (v) Medical Examination.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will be as follows —
1. 100 Mtr race in 16 seconds (18 seconds in case of female)
2. 800 Mtr race in 3 Minutes 45 Seconds (4 Minutes 45 Seconds in case of female)
3. Long Jump of 3.5 Mtr (3 Mtr in case of female) in 3 chances.
4. Shot put of 4.5 Mtr of weight 7.26 kgs. (not applicable for female candidates)
Qualified candidates from Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will sit for Written Examination on same day. Written Examination will be of Objective types on – (i) Professional Subjects and (ii) General Awareness, General Intelligence and General Knowledge.
Qualified candidates will then go for Interview (Personality Test) on the following day.
Finally the candidates will go for Medical Examination for fitness test.
Selection steps will be carried at Delhi.
How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed Application format. The Application Form must be enclosed with Attested copies of testimonials and documents in support of Qualification, Age proof (matriculation certificate can be given), Caste certificate, recent passport size photographs duly attested by Gazetted Officer, one pasted on the application form and the other attached to the application, duly attested on the reverse.
Candidates must also enclose 2 Nos. self-addressed stamped envelope (11.5 cms x 27.5cms) and Fee of Rs.50 in form of Postal Order or Draft.
Application fee: Candidates are required to pay Application fee of Rs.50/- drawn in favour – Accounts Officer, Directorate General, ITBP, New Delhi, in form of Indian Postal Order (IPO) / Bank Draft.
SC/ST categories need not send the prescribed fee along with their application form.
