1. HEAD CONSTABLE/COMBATANT MINISTERIAL (DIRECT ENTRY)
No. of Vacancies: 45 Nos. (UR-25, SC-08, ST-02, OBC-10)
Educational Qualification: Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination from a recognized Board or University or equivalent.
Candidates must have typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi only on computer.
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-25 years as on 01/08/2017.
Pay Scale: Rs.25500 – Rs.81100
2. HEAD CONSTABLE/COMBATANT MINISTERIAL (FEMALE) 15% OF DIRECT ENTRY
No. of Vacancies: 08 Nos. (UR-05, SC-01, OBC-02)
Educational Qualification: Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination from a recognized Board or University or equivalent.

3. HEAD CONSTABLE/COMBATANT MINISTERIAL (LDCE) (FOR ITBP DEPARTMENTAL CANDIDATES ONLY)
No. of Vacancies: 09 Nos. (UR-07, SC-01, ST-01)
Educational Qualification: Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination from a recognized Board or University or equivalent.
Candidates must have typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi only on computer.
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-25 years as on 01/08/2017.
Pay Scale: Rs.25500 – Rs.81100
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Physical Standards (For all above posts):
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 165 cms (162.5 cms for ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded) — 77 cms (76 cms for ST); Chest (expanded) — 82 cms (81 cms for ST); Weight — Corresponding to height and age
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 155 cms (150cms for ST candidates); Weight — Corresponding to height and age
Cut-off in Physical Standards: For candidates belonging to certain categories/ communities or of certain States/Areas; the cut-off in such candidate’s Height/ Chest’s measurement will be as per Govt. norms. Please see officially released advertisement for more details.
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination, Skill Test, Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST).
