Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force is inviting application from the eligible candidates for 158 posts of Assistant Sub-Inspector (Stenographer) and Head Constable (Combatant Ministerial). INDO-TIBETAN BORDER POLICE FORCE IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 158 POSTS OF ASSISTANT SUB-INSPECTOR (STENOGRAPHER) AND HEAD CONSTABLE (COMBATANT MINISTERIAL). LAST DATE — 10/09/2015 (17.09.2015 for far flung areas)

 

1. Assistant Sub-Inspector (Stenographer): 08 Nos. (Gen-6; SC-0; ST-1; OBC-1)
Educational Qualification: Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination from a recognized Board or University or equivalent.
Candidates should have ability to take Dictation for 10 minutes at 80 words per minute and Transcription of same within 50 minutes in English on Computer or 65 minutes in Hindi on Computer.
Age Limit: 18 to 25 years as on 01/08/2015
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200–20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2,800/-

 

2. Head Constable/Combatant Ministerial: 08 Nos. (Gen-6; SC-0; ST-1; OBC-1)
Educational Qualification: Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination from a recognized Board or University or equivalent.
Candidates should possess Typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on Computer.
Age Limit: 18 to 25 years as on 01/08/2015
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200–20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2,400/-

 

Note: Both Male & Female candidates are eligible to apply for any above posts.

 

Upper Age Relaxation: SC/ST by five (5) years and for OBC by three (3) years, Domicile of J&K by 05 years. Ex-Servicemen and Others, if any – As per norms.

 

Vacancies for Departmental Candidates (i.e. candidates who are already in ITBP)
Apart from above applications for the post of Asstt Sub Inspector/Steno and Head Constable/ Combatant Ministerial Group ‘C’ (non- Gazetted) for vacancies mentioned below for recruitment through Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) from the departmental (ITBP) candidates are also invited.

Physical Standards:

(i) Male Candidates: Height – 165 cms (162.5 cms for ST & Hill area candidates); Chest (unexpanded/ expanded) – 77 cms/ 82cms (76/81cms for ST & Hill area candidates)

(ii) Female Candidates: Height – 155cms (150 cms for ST & Hill area candidates); Chest – Not Applicable

(iii) Weight (for all candidates): Corresponding to height and age as per medical standards

Eye Sight (for all) – The minimum distance vision shall be 6/6 and 6/9 for both eyes without correction i.e. without wearing spectacles or lenses

Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Physical Measurement Test, Written Examination, Skill Test and Medical Examination.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.50/- as Application Fee. Fee can be paid by means of “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)” only. These stamps are available at the counter of all Post Offices of the country. These Recruitment Fee Stamps may be pasted on the application form in the space earmarked for the purpose. These Recruitment Stamps must be got cancelled from the Counter Clerks of any Post Office of issue with the date stamp of the Issuing Office.

NO APPLICATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF SC/ST, EX SERVICE MEN AND ALL FEMALE CANDIDATES CATEGORIES.
