Central Governments—Central Industrial Security Force is recruiting 1042 Boys and Girls for the post of Sub-Inspector (Stenographer) and Head Constable (Ministerial). Higher Secondary Pass boys and girls can apply for the post. Name of the post and required qualification were mentioned below.
1. Name of the Post: Head Constable (Ministerial)
Vacant post: 902 Nos. (Gen-325, SC-124, ST-80, OBC-249 and Ex-Serviceman-124)
Required Qualification: Higher Secondary Pass candidates in any stream with ability to type 35 words per minute in English on computer can apply for the post of Head Constable.
2. Name of the Post: Sub- Inspector (Stenographer)
Vacant Post: 140 Nos. (Gen-49, OBC-46, SC-25, ST-20)
Required Qualification: Higher Secondary pass candidates with English Typing speed of 40 words on Computer and 80 words in Short Hand per minute can apply for the post of Sub- Inspector
For both above mentioned post, the Physical height and measurement should be; in case of Boys: Height—167.5 cm (165 cm for Gorkhas and Assamesse and 162.5 cm for SC/ST); Chest: Un-expanded/Expanded—81cm/86cm (SC/ST candidates will receive cut-off of 3 cm in chest)
In case of Girls: Height—157 cm (155 cm for Gorkhas and Assamesse and 152.5 cm for SC/ST)
Age Limits: For both of the above post, age should be between 18yrs to 25 yrs as on 1-8-2011 (Age relaxation—SC/ST-5yrs; OBC-3yrs; Ex-Serviceman- as per norms)
Candidates should be physically well built and without Glass, Contact lens and hearing equipment.
Candidates will be selected through Written Test and then Computer Typing Test and Shorthand test according to the post applied for. Finally there will be Interview and Medical Test.
Application can be prepared on foolscap paper as per given format and candidates should enclosed the following documents. All copies should be attested by Gazetted Officer.
- Attested copies of Madhyamik certificate, Qualification’s certificate, Caste certificate-in case of SC/ST, Discharge Certificate for Ex-Serviceman
- 2 nos. passport size photo, one copy pasted on Application form and other copy on Admit card and then both attested by Gazetted Officer.
- 3 nos. Self-addressed envelope with affixed postal stamp of Rs. 22 on one envelope
- Crossed Postal Order of Rs.50 in favour of according to the choice of Exam Center. If Kolkata is chosen as exam center then P.O. should be in favour of “Asstt.Comdt (DDO), CISF NEF, Kolkata” and Payable at “GPO Kolkata”. No fee is required for SC/ST candidates.
On the top of the application containing envelope, write: “Application for the post of ……………. (Sub-Inspector (Stenographer) OR Head Constable (Ministerial)
Last date of Application: Complete application form should reach within 25th April 2011 (1st May for Bihar, Orissa and Jharkhand)
Address: Application should be addressed according to the choice of examination center. If Kolkata is chosen then address will be—“Deputy Inspector General CISF (North East Zone), Premises No. 553, East Kolkata Township (Kasba), Kolkata—700 107 (WB)”
