INSURANCE MEDICAL OFFICER AND SPECIALIST
No. of Vacancies: 92 Nos. (UR-52, SEBC-03, SC-16, ST-21. Out of the total posts, 01 post is reserved for Sportsperson and 04 posts are reserved for PWD)
Educational Qualification: i) MBBS or equivalent Degree from recognized Medical College or Institution.
ii) Must have a valid Registration Certificate under the Odisha Medical Regulation Rules 1965.
iii) Must have required Conversion Certificates recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) in case of candidates having Degree from Universities of Foreign Countries.
iv) The candidate should be able to read, write and speak Odia and must have:-
a) Passed Middle School Examination with Odia as a language subject; or
b) Passed Matriculation or equivalent examination with Odia as medium of examination in non-language subject; or
c) Passed in Odia as language subject in the final examination of Class-VII from a School or Educational Institution recognized by the Govt. of Odisha or the Central Govt.; or
d) Passed a test in Odia in Middle English School Standard conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 32 years as on 01/01/2020.
Pay Scale: Rs.15600 — Rs.39100
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ ST/ SEBC/ Women and 10 years for PWD category. Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
The posts are in Group- A (Junior Branch) of Odisha Employees State Insurance Medical Services Cadre under Labour and ESI Department.
The selected candidates will be on Probation for two years.
Note:- Candidates belonging to Reserved Categories of state other than Odisha will be treated as General Category candidates.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination. The Written Examination will be held at Cuttack/ Bhubaneswar.
