1 . Senior House Physician Cum-Registrar
Qualification:
- B.A.M.S. degree from a recognized university in the State of West Bengal.
- Completion of a one-year internship in any Ayurvedic teaching institution in the state.
- Six months of junior house physicianship at an Ayurvedic teaching institution in the state.
- Basic computer knowledge.
Preferences:
- First preference for M.D.(Ay.) in Kayachikitsa; second preference for M.D. (Ay.) in Panchakarma.
- Additional preference for candidates with six months of senior house physicianship in Kayachikitsa or Panchakarma.
IPGAER Selection Process:
- Selection based on merit, considering marks in Kayachikitsa of BAMS final year and, if necessary, aggregate marks of final year BAMS.
- Existing candidates may be re-selected for another six months based on performance assessment.
- Tenure of engagement is a minimum of six months, not extendable beyond one year.
2. Junior House Physician
Qualification:
- Completion of one year of internship as part of the B.A.M.S. program.
Tenure:
- Junior House Physicians’ tenure is ordinarily one year, initially for six months.
IPGAER Selection Process:
- Selection is based on performance during the internship, with a preference for relatively fresh candidates.
- Priority is given to candidates who completed Junior House Physicianship in Kayachikitsa or secured high marks in Kayachikitsa.
3. Senior House Physician
Qualification:
- Completion of one year of Junior House Physicianship.
- Minimum of six months’ experience in the particular institution.
Tenure:
- The tenure of a Senior House Physicianship is ordinarily 16 months, with no consideration after one year.
IPGAER Selection Process:
- Shortlisting based on eligibility and experience criteria.
- Final selection based on performance and merit.
- Senior House Physicianship must be residential, and female candidates are eligible.
- Thorough document verification to ensure accuracy.
