Central government of India, under Ministry of Defence, Itarshi Ordnance Factory is recruiting 53 persons for the post of “Storekeeper”, “Fireman” and “Darawan”. Qualification and eligibility details is given below—
1. Fireman: 21 Nos. (Gen-11, OBC-3, SC-3, ST-4) out of them Ex-Ser.—5nos.

Qualification: Madhyamik pass candidates who have done 6 months Elementary course of Fire Fighting may apply for the post.
Height: 165cm (162.5 cm for SC/ST); Chest (unexpanded/expanded): 81.5cm/85cm.; Weight: 50 kg minimum.
Age: Within 18yrs to 25yrs
Payscale: Rs.5200—Rs.20200.
2. Storekeeper: 22 Nos. (Gen-5, OBC-2, SC-2, ST-1)
Serial No:02
Qualification: Higher Secondary pass candidates may apply. Computer ‘O’ level course from DOAEC is desirable.
Age: 18yrs to 27yrs
Pay scale: Same as above.
3. Durwan: 22 Nos. (Gen-15, SC-3, ST-4) out of them Ex-Ser.—5nos and PH- 1nos..

Qualification: Madhyamik pass candidates may apply for the post. Height-165cm, Chest (expanded/unexpanded): 82cm/ 77cm, Weight: minimum 45 kg.
Age: Within 20yrs to 27yrs.
Payscale: same as above.
For all the above given posts, age should be counted as on 10-02-2012. Age relaxation—OBC-3yrs, SC/ST-5yrs, PH-10yrs and Ex-Serv.- as per norms.
For selection of candidates, there will be Physical measurement test, Written Test and Endurance Test.
For the post of Fireman, the Written Test will be 150 marks (2 hrs allotted time) on followings—General Intelligence, General Awareness, General Awareness (Fire Fighting).
For the post of Fireman, first there will Physical measurement test and then Endurance test. Endurance Test will be of—(I) Race of 183 Mtr within 19 Seconds with weight laden of 53.5 kg. (II) Rope climbing of 3mtr and (III) 2.7 mtr hoping.
For the post of Storekeeper, the written test will be of 150 marks on followings—General Intelligence, General Awareness, English Language and Numerical Aptitude. Time allotted—2hrs.
For the post of Durwan, if qualified in Physical Ability then race of 100 mtr within 15 seconds, and then Written Test on the same topic as for above post of Storekeeper.
Application can be made on plain paper as per given format. Along with application enclosed the following attested copies—
- Recent 3 Nos. passport size photograph (one copy paste on application form and sign on it in such a way that it runs both of photograph and paper, other 2 copies enclosed with the application)
- Attested copies of Age, qualification and etc certificates
- Postal Order or Demand Draft of Rs.50 in favour of—General Manager, Ordnance Factory, Itarshi”. SC/ST/PH/EX-Serviceman do not require to pay fee.
