ITBP – Recruitment of 497 Constable (Pioneer) in different trades. Last Dt. 09/10/2014 (16.10.14)

Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBPF) is recruiting 497 male candidates for the post of Constable (Pioneer), General Central Service Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted (Non-Ministerial). The engagement will be on temporary basis but likely to be permanent. Candidates willing to apply for the vacancies shall submit their application form on prescribed format (See below). Education Qualification norms and brief details are given below:—

1. CONSTABLE (PIONEER)
Discipline wise vacancies are as follows:-
(i) Electrician: 135 Nos. (Gen-68; SC-20; ST-10 & OBC-37)
(ii) Plumber: 90 Nos. (Gen-48); (SC-13; ST-07 & OBC-22)
(iii) Carpenter: 92 Nos. (Gen-57; SC-12; ST-08 & OBC-15)
(iv) Welder: 04 Nos. (Gen-03 & OBC-1)
(v) Painter: 15 Nos. (Gen-08; SC-02; ST-01 & OBC-04)
(vi) Mason: 161 Nos. (Gen-85; SC-22; ST-11 & OBC-43)

 

Education Qualification: 10th Pass and One year trade certificate from an ITI or 1 yr work experience in relevant trade.
Note: – Self-attestation of required experience will also be accepted for work experience in trade.

 

Pay Scale (for all above posts): Rs. 5200/- – Rs.20200/- and Grade Pay Rs. 2000/- plus other allowances.

 

Age limit (for all above posts): 18 to 23. The upper age limit is relaxation for SC/ST by 5 yrs, OBC by 3 yrs, Ex-serviceman and others as per Govt. norms.

 

Mode of Selection:-
Selection of the candidates will be through Height Bar Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Physical Standards Test, Written Test, Trade Test and Interview and Document verification. Shortlisted candidates will finally go for medical examination. Centre for written test and examination date will be intimated in due course.

Physical Efficiency Test: 1.6km Race in 10mins.

 

Physical Standard:-
(i) Height – 170 cms (162.5 cms for ST Only) (ii) Chest (Unexpanded/Expanded)-80-85 cms (76-81 cms for ST only) (iii) Weight – per medical standard (iv) The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of both eyes without correction i.e. without wearing of glasses..
Note: Cut-off in Height and Chest measurement for north eastern candidates and hilly region candidates is as per Govt. norms.

 

Application Fee: Candidates must be pay Rs.50/- (for Gen/OBC) as application fee by means of “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)” only. CRFS stamps are available at the counter of all Post Offices of the country.

Note: Application received with any other mode of fee payment will be summarily rejected. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from paying fee.

Note: Candidates must enclose three self-addressed envelopes of 4”X9” size with Rs. 5/- postage stamps affixed on each envelope.
