Indo Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) – Recruitment of 58 Sub-Inspector (Overseer). Last Dt. 31/07/2014 (7/8/2014)

Indo Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) is recruiting 58 “Sub-Inspector (Overseer)”. The post is of General Central Service Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted (Non-Ministerial). The engagement is on temporary basis but likely to be permanent. Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format (see below given PDF file). SUB-INSPECTOR (OVERSEER)
Number of Vacancies: 58 Nos. (Gen—28; SC—8; ST—6; OBC—16).
10% of the vacancies in each category are reserved for Ex-Servicemen.
Note: Only Male candidates are eligible to apply.

Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent with a diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institute.

Age Limit: 20 to 25 years as on 31/07/2014, i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 31.07.1989 and not later than 31.07.1994.
Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.

Pay Scale: Rs.9300—34800 and Grade Pay: Rs.4200/- per month plus other allowances as per norms.

Minimum Physical Standard/ Medical Standards of the candidates:
(i). Height—170 cms (162.5 cms for ST candidates) (165 cms for Hill area candidates and North Eastern States)
(ii) Chest (unexpanded/ expanded): 80cms/ 85 cms (77/82 cms for ST candidates) (80/85 cms for Hill area candidates and North Eastern States)
(iii) Weight—Proportionate to height and age as per medical standard.
(iv) Eye Vision (for all categories): The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of both eyes without correction i.e. without wearing of glasses.

Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

Candidates’ Selection: Candidates will be selection through (i) Height Bar test, (ii) Race of 100 meters to be completed within 16 seconds and Race of 1.6 Kms within 10 minutes, (iii) Physical standard test, (iv) Biometric Identification, (v) Written Examination and (v) Interview.

How to Apply: Eligible and interested candidates should send their Applications (duly filled in
Hindi or English only) complete in all respects and Candidate’s Admit Card duly filled, in the prescribed proforma (See PDF file below).
The Application form shall be enclosed with testimonials attested by Gazetted Officer, in support of Qualification, Age, Caste and Fee & Etc.
Candidates must enclose 02 Self-Addressed envelopes (4×9 inches) with affixed postal stamp of Rs.5/- on each, with the application form.

The envelope containing the application form and enclosures, shall be superscribed in bold letters as – “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF SUB-INSPECTOR (OVERSEER) IN ITBP”.

Application Fee: The candidates belonging to General and OBC category should pay the fee of Rs. 50/- as application fee by means of “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)” only. CRFS stamps are available at the counter of all Post Offices of the country. Recruitment Fee Stamps should be pasted on the application form in the space earmarked for the purpose and got cancelled from the Counter of Post Office of issue with the date stamp of the issuing Post Office.
