Indo Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) – Recruitment of ASI (Steno), Head Constable & Constable. Last Dt. 31/03/2014 (7/4/2014)

Indo Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) is recruiting 260 “Assistant Sub-Inspector (Stenographer)”, “Head Constable (Edu & Stress Counsellor/ Master/ Workshop/ Engine Driver)” and “Constable (Workshop/ Crew)”. The vacancies are on temporary basis but likely to be permanent. Educational qualification norms and eligibility norms in brief are given below —

1. ASSISTANT SUB-INSPECTOR (STENOGRAPHER) (DR)
Number of Vacancies: 21 Nos. (Gen—11; SC—3; ST—2; OBC—5)
Qualification: Higher Secondary pass or equivalent and ability to take Dictation at 80 words per minute and transcribe the same on computer within 50 minutes in English or within 65 minutes in Hindi.
Age: 18—25yrs

2. ASSISTANT SUB-INSPECTOR (STENOGRAPHER) (LDCE)
Number of Vacancies: 4 Nos. (Gen—2; SC—1; ST—0; OBC—1)
Qualification: Higher Secondary pass or equivalent and ability to take Dictation at 80 words per minute and transcribe the same on computer within 50 minutes in English or within 65 minutes in Hindi.
Age: 18—25yrs

3. HEAD CONSTABLE (EDUCATION & STRESS COUNSELLOR)
Number of Vacancies: 50 Nos. (Gen—16; SC—10; ST—3; OBC—21)
Qualification: Degree or equivalent with Psychology as a subject OR Degree  with B.Ed/ Bachelor of Teaching/ or equivalent
Age: 20—25yrs.

4. HEAD CONSTABLE (MINISTERIAL) (DR)
Number of Vacancies:  111 Nos. (Gen—56; SC—17; ST—8; OBC—30)
Qualification: Higher Secondary or equivalent and shall have Typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer.
Age: 18—25yrs.

5. HEAD CONSTABLE (MINISTERIAL) (LDCE)
Number of Vacancies: 20 Nos. (Gen—10; SC—3; ST—2; OBC—5)
Qualification: Higher Secondary or equivalent and shall have Typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer.
Age: 18—25yrs.

6. HEAD CONSTABLE (MASTER)
Number of Vacancies: 6 Nos. (Gen—3; SC—1; OBC—2)
Qualification: Higher Secondary or equivalent and Master or Serang Certificate and one year experience in the trade.
Age: 18—25yrs.

7. HEAD CONSTABLE (WORKSHOP) 
Number of Vacancies: 1 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Higher Secondary or equivalent and Diploma/ Certificate in Diesel Engine/ Machinist/ Welder/ Machine Shop/ Carpentry/ Electrician/ Fitter/ Turner from ITI or recognized institutes.
Age: 18—25yrs.

8. HEAD CONSTABLE (ENGINE DRIVER) 
Number of Vacancies: 6 Nos. (Gen—3; SC—1; OBC—2)
Qualification: Higher Secondary or equivalent and shall possess Second Class Engine Driver Certificate and one year experience in the trade.
Age: 18—25yrs.

9. CONSTABLE (WORKSHOP)
Number of Vacancies: 4 Nos. (Gen—2; SC—1; OBC—1)
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent and Diploma or Certificate in Diesel Engine/ Machinist/ Welder/ Machine Shop/ Carpentry/ Electrician/ Fitter/ Turner from ITI or recognized institutes
Age: 18—23yrs.

10. CONSTABLE (CREW) 
Number of Vacancies: 37 Nos. (Gen—18; SC—6; ST—3; OBC—10)
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent AND 02 years experience in operating of Boat below 265 HP as a sukhani or Greaser or 2nd Class Engine Driver Certificate and one year experience in the trade.
Age: 18—23yrs.

Age Relaxation: The age mentioned above along with the post will be counted as on 31/03/2014. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.

Physical Standards: 
For ASI (Steno) and HC (Ministerial) (DR & LDCE): 
(I) Male candidates: Minimum height – 165 cms (162.5 cms for ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded/ expanded)—77cms/ 82cms (76/81cms for ST)
(II) Female Candidates: Minimum height—155cms (150cms for ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded/ expanded)—Not applicable.

For Rest of all posts in HC and Constable
(I) Male candidates: Minimum height – 170 cms (165 cms for ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded/ expanded)—80cms/ 85cms (77/82cms for ST)
(II) Female Candidates: Minimum height—157cms (154cms for ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded/ expanded)—Not applicable

Body Weight (For all candidates): Shall be correspondence to age and height as per medical standards
Eye Sight: Minimum distance vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of both eyes with glass.

Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties
