Indo Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBPF) is inviting application from the eligible candidates for 15 posts of Inspector (Hindi Translator). INDO TIBETAN BORDER POLICE FORCE (ITBPF) IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 15 POSTS OF INSPECTOR (HINDI TRANSLATOR). LAST DATE — 23/10/2015 (30.10.2015 for far flung areas)

 

1. INSPECTOR (HINDI TRANSLATOR): 15 Nos. (UR-9; SC-3; ST-1; OBC-2)
Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Hindi or English with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as the medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at the degree level

OR Master’s Degree in any subject other than Hindi and English with Hindi or English as the medium of examination and English or Hindi as a compulsory or elective subjects or as medium of examination at the degree level

OR Master’s Degree in any subject other than Hindi and English with Hindi or English as the medium of examination and English or Hindi as a compulsory or elective subjects or as medium of examination at the degree level.

OR Bachelor’s degree with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as the medium of examination and the other as compulsory or elective subject plus a recognized Diploma or Certificate course in Translation from Hindi to English and vice versa or two years experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Department/Govt. of India undertaking and working knowledge of computer application or equivalent.

 

Age Limit: Maximum 30 years as on 24/10/2015

 

Pay Scale: Rs.9300 – Rs.34800 and Grade Pay: Rs.4600/-

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD & as per Govt. norms for Ex-Servicemen & others

 

Physical Standards:

Male Candidates: Height – 170cms (162.5 cms for ST candidates and 165cms for candidates from Hill areas and North Eastern States); Chest (Unexpanded/ expanded) – 80cms/85cms (77/82cms for ST candidates)

Female Candidates: Height – 157cms (154cms for ST candidates and 155 cms for candidates from Hill areas and North Eastern States); Chest – Not applicable for women candidates.

Weight (male & female): Proportionate to height and age as per medical standard.

 

Medical Standards:

Vision (for all candidates): The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of both eyes without correction, i.e. without wearing of glasses.

Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through (i) Height Bar test, (ii) Physical Standard Test (PST), (iii) Biometric Identification, (iv) Written Examination and (v) Interview

The posts are on temporary basis but likely to be permanent in the force.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.50/- as Application Fee. Fee can be paid through Indian Postal Orders drawn in favour of Inspector General (Eastern) Frontier, ITB Police.

NO APPLICATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF SC/ST, FEMALE AND EX-SERVICEMEN CATEGORIES.
