Jammu & Kashmir Police (J&K Police) is inviting application from the eligible candidates for 4000 posts of Constable (Armed/Executive). Applications are invited from the permanent residents of J&K State (on District wise/Category wise). CONSTABLE IN JAMMU & KASHMIR POLICE – 2015
Total Vacancies: 4000 Nos.

— 1000 posts in Executive Police
— 3000 posts in Armed Police

Educational Qualification: Matriculation passed or equivalent from any Govt. recognized board.

 

Physical Standards:–

For Male candidates: Height – 5 ft 6 inches minimum (5ft 4inches for Ladakh region & Gorkha community); Chest (unexpanded/ expanded) – 32 inches/33.5(half) inches (for all region/community)

For Female Candidates: Height – 5 ft 2 inches minimum (5ft for Ladakh region & Gorkha community); Chest – Not applicable.

 

Age Limit: Not less than 18 years and not more than 28 years as on 01/01/2015. Upper age relaxation for reserved categories of J&K State will be as per Govt. norms.

 

Pay Scales: Rs.5200/- —  Rs.20200/- and Rs.1900/-

 

Note: Only permanent resident of Jammu & Kashmir may apply. Candidates should apply for the District of which he/she is resident of.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Physical Endurance Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST) and Written Examination. Written Examination will be Objective Type.

There will be Medical Examination at final stage of the selection.

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply only on prescribed application format along with testimonials.

The prescribed Application form in OMR/ICR format along with envelopes will be available in the Offices of all the district SSPs in J&K and in SSP CID Cell New Delhi from dated 15.10.2015 against payment of Rs.300/- as Application Fee in form of Demand Draft/Postal Order.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.300/- as Application Fee. Fee can be paid through Demand Draft/ Postal Order drawn in favour of Chief Accounts Officer PHQ, payable at Jammu/Srinagar.

 

Address to submit the Application Form: Candidates must submit their duly filled Application form enclosed with attested copies of testimonials (Matriculation certificate, Reserved category certificate, Demand Draft, 2 Nos. Additional passport size photographs & any other relevant documents) in the Offices of respective District Superintendents of Police (SP) where the applicant resides. The migrants candidates presently residing/working outside the State shall submit their Application form, mentioning original residential particulars, the District Police Offices where they are presently settled.

Candidates presently residing/working outside the State (J&K) can submit their Application form in the Office of SSP CID Cell, 11, Harish Chander Mathur Lane, Near Maz Muller Bhawan, KG Marg New Delhi – 110001.
