Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER), Department of Microbiology, Puducherry, is inviting application for the posts of – Laboratory Technicians and Data Manager for its various funded Projects. Total vacancies—05 Nos. The engagement will be on contract basis initially for one year but likely to continue. Vacancies below are for NCDC funded project entitled “NATIONAL PROGRAMME ON CONTAINMENT OF ANTIMICROBIAL RESISTANCE (NPCAR)”

1. DATA MANAGER
Number of Vacancies: 1 post.
Educational Qualification: Post Graduate with degree or diploma in computer application with 60% aggregate marks obtained from government recognized institutes.
Experience: Minimum three years experience in data management preferably in health sectors.
Desirable — Proficiency in English language is desirable.
Age: Maximum 40 years.
Salary: Rs.12,000/- per month

2. LABORATORY TECHNICIAN
Number of Vacancies: 1 Post.
Educational Qualification: B.Sc.MLT Graduate degree with 60% aggregate marks with two years of experience in Microbiology Laboratory
Desirable Qualification: Good knowledge in molecular techniques and basic computer applications such as MS office (excel and word).
Age Limit: Maximum 40yrs.
Salary: Rs.15,000/- per month

 

Vacancies below are for Project “Regional Influenza lab (IDSP funded )”

1. LABORATORY TECHNICIAN
Number of Vacancies: 1 Post.
Educational Qualification: Graduate degree in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Life Science/Medical Laboratory Technology from recognized university, with 60% aggregate marks.
Desirable Qualification: One year work experience preferably in molecular techniques.
Age Limit: Maximum 30yrs.
Salary: Rs.15,000/- per month

 

Vacancies below are for ICMR funded project entitled “Nodal coordinating centre for surveillance of antimicrobial resistance in Staphylococcus and Enterococcus species”

1. LABORATORY TECHNICIAN
Number of Vacancies: 2 posts.
Educational Qualification: Graduate degree in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Life Science/Medical Laboratory Technology from recognized university, with 60% aggregate marks.
Desirable Qualification: M.Sc., in Life sciences with knowledge in molecular techniques and basic computer applications
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years.
Salary: Rs.13,760/- per month

 

The engagement to the above said posts will be on contract basis for a period of one year but likely to continue beyond one year.
Eligible candidates will be called for written test/skill test followed by interview. Date and venue of interview will be intimated to the eligible through their e- mail id.
