The vacancies are under DST, Govt. of West Bengal Project entitled “Assessment of vulnerability of jute production to climate change and its mitigation strategies development using remote sensing and GIS in West Bengal”. The candidates will be appointed on Contractual basis for a period of three years. 1. SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (SRF)
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Remote Sensing & GIS/ Enviromental Science, Agrometeorology/ Geography/ Geology/ Applied Geology/ Soil Science/ Agronomy or equivalent with minimum 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
Experience: Two years’ experience in RS & GIS/ Agricultural research or equivalent.
Desirable: PG Diploma in Geoinformatics or equivalent NET/GATE/SLET qualified, knowledge in computer programing for spatial data analysis, RDBMS etc.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years for Men and 40 years for Women.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.21,000/- per month.
2. PROJECT ASSISTANT (PA)
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 45% marks.
Desirable: Certificate in Computer application of at least six months duration from a reputed organization.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years for Men and 40 years for Women.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.21,000/- per month.
