1. SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (SRF)
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (UR)
Name of the project: CRP- Molecular breeding for improvement of tolerance to biotic and abiotic stresses, yield and quality traits in crops (Rice).
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Genetics/ Plant Breeding/ Genetics and Plant Breeding/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences with 4/5 years bachelor’s degree.
Those candidates with 03 years bachelor’s degree must have UGC/ CSIR/ ICAR NET qualification or equivalent or Ph.D. in any of above disciplines.
Desirable: Experience in molecular markers and proficiency in Computer skills.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 25000/- per month.
2. SKILLED HELPER
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (UR)
Name of the project: CRP- Biofortification in selected crops for nutritional security (Rice).
Educational Qualification: 10th or equivalent from recognized Board.
Desirable: Experience in field and lab work related to agriculture especially in rice.
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 16,182/- per month.
The vacancies are in the Division of Genetics in ICAR funded projects. The candidates will be appointed purely on Contractual basis initially up to March 2019, or till the termination of the project which-ever is earlier.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Interview.
