I. NAME OF THE PROJECT: “VALIDATION OF INDIGENOUSLY DEVELOPED TECHNOLOGIES FOR DIAGNOSIS OF PAEDIATRIC TUBERCULOSIS: MULTICENTRIC VALIDATION” FUNDED BY ITRC-TATA TRUST.
1. SENIOR RESEARCH OFFICER
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (UR)
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Life Science or M-Tech in Biotechnology.
Experience: One year research experience in the related field.
Desirable: Experience in handling Mtb cultures.
Age Limit: Maximum 40 years.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.28,000/- per month.
2. PROJECT TECHNICIAN III (LAB TECHNICIAN)
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (UR)
Educational Qualification: 12th pass in science subjects with any one of the following:
i) Two years Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or
ii) One year Diploma in Med Laboratory Technology with one year laboratory experience in a recognised organization/ institution or
iii) Two years laboratory experience in a government recognised organisation/ institution.
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.17,520/- per month.
II. NAME OF THE PROJECT: “EVALUATION OF LOOP MEDICATED ISOTHERMAL AMPLIFICATION ASSAY (LAMP) FOR RAPID DETECTION OF MYCOBACTERIUM TUBERCULOSIS FROM CLINICAL SAMPLES” FUNDED BY DBT.
3. JUNIOR PROJECT RESEARCH FELLOW
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (UR)
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Basic Science with NET qualification.
OR
Graduate in professional course with NET qualification.
OR
Postgraduate degree in Life Science in professional course.
Desirable: Experience in clinical/ bacteriological research.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.25,000/- per month.
The candidates will be appointed on Contractual basis for a period of one (01) year/ six (06) months. The candidates will be posted in Chennai.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Driving Test, Written Test and Interview wherever applicable.
