Judgeship of South 24 Parganas – Recruitment of 150 Steno, LDC, Peon, Etc. Last Dt. 06/08/2014

Calcutta High Court — Office of the District & Session Judge, South 24 Parganas Alipore is recruiting 150 – Stenographer, Lower Division Clerk, Peon, Farash, Guard, Sweeper and Mali (Gardener). The engagement will be initially on temporary basis but likely to be made permanent. Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format (See PDF below). OFFICE OF THE DISTRICT & SESSIONS JUDGE, SOUTH 24 – PARGANAS ALIPORE REQUIRES 150 STENO, LDC, PEON, SWEEPER & MALI. LAST DATE –  06/08/2014

 

1. Stenographer Grade III ( Grade – C )

Number of Vacancies: 30 Nos. [ UR – 16, SC – 7, ST – 3, OBC(A) – 2, OBC(B) – 2 ]

Qualification: Higher Secondary or equivalent and shall have minimum speed of 80 words per minute in Shorthand and minimum speed at 30 w.p.m. in typewriting from a legible manuscript in English.

Pay Scale: Rs.7100—37600 and Grade Pay: Rs.3900/-

 

2. Lower Division Clerk (Gr.-C)

Number of Vacancies: Total Vacancy – 44 [ UR – 21, SC – 10, ST – 2, OBC(A) – 4, OBC(B) – 4, PH – 1, Ex-Serviceman – 2 ]

Qualification: Madhyamik or equivalent and at least a Certificate in Computer Training from a recognized Institution and a satisfactory fingering speed in Computer operation are required.

Pay Scale: Rs.5400—25200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2300/-

 

3. Peon (Gr-D)

Number of Vacancies: 59 [ UR – 27, SC – 11, ST – 3, OBC(A) – 6, OBC(B) – 3, PH – 2, Ex-Serviceman – 7 ]

Qualification: Class VIII pass certificate from recognized school/boards.

Pay Scale: Rs.4900—16200 and Grade Pay: Rs.1700/-

 

4. Night Guard (Gr-D)

Number of Vacancies: 12 [ UR – 5, SC – 2, ST – 1, OBC(A) – 1, OBC(B) – 2, Ex-Serviceman – 1 ]

Qualification: Class VIII pass certificate from recognized school/boards. Candidates shall be well built and physically fit.

Pay Scale: Rs.4900—16200 and Grade Pay: Rs.1700/-

 

5. Farash (Gr-D)

Number of Vacancies: 3 [ SC – 1, OBC(A) – 1, PH – 1 ]

Qualification: Class VIII pass certificate from recognized school/boards.

Pay Scale: Rs.4900—16200 and Grade Pay: Rs.1700/-

 

6. Sweeper (Gr-D)

Number of Vacancies: 1 [ ESM – 1 ]

Qualification: Ability to read & write in Bengali

Pay Scale: Rs.4900—16200 and Grade Pay: Rs.1700/-

 

7. Mali (Gardener) (Gr-D)

Number of Vacancies: 1 Nos. (Gen)

Qualification: Ability to read & write in Bengali.

Pay Scale: Rs.4900—16200 and Grade Pay: Rs.1700/-

 

Age Limit (for all posts except Stenographer): Minimum 18yrs and maximum 40yrs. For the post of Stenographer – minimum 18yrs and maximum 37 yrs.

Age will be counted as on 01-01-2014. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.

 

The Appointment will initially be made on a purely temporary basis but is likely to be made permanent for all categories of posts. The engagement will be in South 24 Parganas Alipore Judgeship.

Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test, Practical test (wherever applicable) and Personality test.

One candidate may apply for any one of the vacant post of the Judgeship. The Application form shall be enclosed with attested copies of testimonials in support of Qualification, Technical qualification, Age proof, Caste and Etc. Two passport size recent photograph duly signed by the candidate should be pasted in the respective place mentioned in the Application Form and Admit Card

One self addressed envelope of the size of 25 cm x 11 cm must be accompanied with the application form.

 

Application Fee: Each application must be accompanied by application fee of Rs. 250/- (Rs.150 for SC/ST) for the post of Group B & C category AND Rs. 150/- (Rs.100/- for SC/ST) for the rest of posts in Group-D category, only by I.P.O. Application fee by IPO payable at G.P.O., Kolkata.

SC / ST / OBC candidates belonging to States other than West Bengal will be treated as General Candidate.
