Assam Police, Ulubari, Guwahati, as per officially realised Advertisement, is recruiting 70 persons for the post of “Junior Assistant” and “Stenographer (Grade-III)”. The eligible candidates should prepare the Application form as per format published in schedule-IX of Assam Gazette. Brief details given below—
1. Junior Assistant: 60 Nos.
Qualification: HSLC Examination passed from the Board of Secondary Education of Assam or CBSE and should have Diploma in Type Writing or Computer.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—Rs.20200 and Grade pay: Rs.2200
2. Stenographer (Grade-III): 10 Nos.
Qualification: HSLC Examination passed from the Board of Secondary Education of Assam or CBSE and should have National Trade Certificate (under ITI’s Assam) or from Institute recognised by govt. of Assam with 80 words per minute in English Stenography.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—Rs.20200 and Grade pay: Rs.2900
N.B: Candidates should have their name registered in the Employment Exchange in the state of Assam. Reservation of posts is as per govt. norms.
Age limit: Candidates should be between 18yrs to 38yrs as on 1/1/2012. Age relaxation for reserved candidates is as per norms.
Selection Steps: Candidates will be selected through Written Examination and Interview.
For the post of Junior Assistant, the written test will be of 100 marks and Typing/Computer Test will be of 50 marks. Written Test will be on – (i) Essay writing/ Draft writing (20 marks), (ii) Grammar (20 marks), (iii) Comprehension/ Precise writing (20 marks) and (iv) General Knowledge (40 marks).
Typing/ Computer test will be 35 marks of five minutes duration and there will be Viva-Voce of 15 Marks.
For the post of Stenographer, Written Test will be of 100 marks on – (i) Grammar (30 marks), (ii) General Knowledge (50 marks) and Essay writing/Draft writing (20 marks)
Dictation Test with Typing will be 40 marks (5 minutes duration for each event) and Viva-Voce will be of 10 Marks.
Candidates who will secured 50% marks in the Written Test will be short-listed and then candidates equal to four times of the total vacant post will be called for Interview.
Date and Venue of the Written Test/ Interview will be declared and informed to the candidates in due course.
