Recruitment of 160 Junior Engineer in Central Water Commission of Central Government. Diploma in Engineering Candidates can apply.

Central Government’s Central Water Commission (C.W.C.) is recruiting 160 Junior Engineer in Civil & Mechanical And Junior Engineer in Electrical. Candidates who have done Diploma or Degree courses from recognized institute can apply for the post. The vacancies were as follows:

1. Post: Junior Engineer (Civil and Mechanical); Total Posts: 142 Nos.
Vacancies In Civil: 99 posts (O.B.C- 67; SC- 15; ST- 17)
Vacancies in Mechanical: 43 posts (OBC- 28; SC-7; ST- 8)
Among the above post there is 12 nos. seats reserved for PH candidates

Qualification: 3 years Diploma or Degree Course passes in Civil and Mechanical Engineering from recognized Institute or College.

Age Limit: Not more than 32 years as on 31-01-2011.

2. Post: Junior Engineer (Electrical)

Vacancies: 18 posts (GEN- 9; OBC- 7; SC- 1; ST- 1). Among them 1 for PH and 2 for Ex-Serviceman as a reserved seat has been kept.

Qualification: 3 years Diploma Course in Electrical Engineering from recognized Institute or College.
Age Limit: 18yrs-27yrs as on 31-01-2011.

Relaxable age for all above mentioned posts: For OBC- 3 yrs; SC/ST- 5yrs; PH- 10yrs and Ex-service man will received age relaxation as per govt. norms. Widow or legally divorced women not remarried will receive 9 yrs as age relaxation. If in SC/ST then 13yrs and in OBC 11 yrs will receive as age relaxation.
Candidates should be physically and mentally well built and therefore there will be Doctor’s examination during recruitment process.

Selection Procedure: Selection of Candidates will be carried by Staff Selection Committee (S.S.C.) through written test. Written test will be of 500 marks in two papers. First paper will be of 2 hours and questions will be Objective Multiple Choice Types on following topics: (I) General Intelligence and Reasoning of 50 marks. (II) General Awareness of 50 marks and (III) General Engineering (Civil & Structural)/ General Engineering (Electrical)/ General Engineering (Mechanical) of 100 marks.
Second paper will be of 2 hours and will consist of 300 marks on Descriptive Types Questions rom the following topics:- (I) General Engineering on Civil & Structural/ Mechanical/ Electrical (according to stream).
If selected will be called for Interview (Personality Test) of 100 marks.

List of centre along with its code, candidates will require this code and centre name during fill-up of application form:
Kolkata (4410); Guahati (Dispur): (5105); Delhi (2201); Chennai (8201); Mumbai (7204); Allahabad (3003); Bangalore (9001), Raipur (6204); Chandigarh (1601).

How to Apply: Candidates can choose to apply either through Online System or Offline (By post).
To apply offline i.e. by post, candidates should prepare the Application form according to the given format on full scope paper.
Along with application form, candidates will have to enclose the following document:

  • Recently taken 1 pass port size photograph affixed on application form.
  • Central Recruitment Fee Stamp of Rs. 100 affixed on application form on marked area and then should make stamp cancellation from the clerk of the post-office. No fee required for SC/ST, Women and Ex-Serviceman candidates.

Last Date of Application: Completely filled-up Application should reach within 31st January 2011. For North Eastern zones along with Tripura and Andaman Nicobar, last date is 7th February 2011.

Candidates willing to apply through online should visit official website: http://ssc.nic.in. First registration of Part-1 should be completed and then Registration of Part-II. Candidates can pay recruitment fee through online payment or can choose to pay through any branch S.B.I.
For making payment through bank, candidate should make print out of payment challan right after making registration of Part-1 and then after making payment should proceed to Part-II registration. In part-II registration candidates will have to provide scan of Signature and Photograph in JPG Format and Fee details. After successful registration of part-II make a print-out of system generated form. Keep this form with you this will be required during written examination.

Candidates should apply only once either through Offline or Online, submitting application more than once can cause cancellation of all application form from a candidate.
