JUNIOR SCIENTIFIC OFFICER
No. of Vacancies: 64 Nos.
Group wise vacancies:
i) Chemistry: 40 posts
ii) Biology: 14 posts
iii) Physics: 06 posts
iv) Physics and Chemistry (Division: Computer Forensic Science): 04 posts
Educational Qualification: i) M.Sc., (Forensic Science) Degree and a Degree in the subject OR M.Sc., Degree in the Subject.
ii) Preference shall be given to candidate who holds a degree in M.Sc., (Forensic Science).

Age Limit: Maximum 30 years (No maximum age limit for Reserved Categories candidates) as on 01.07.2019.
Pay Scale: Rs.36,900-1,16,600/-
The vacancies are in Forensic Sciences Department in Tamil Nadu Forensic Science Subordinate Service.
Note: Candidates should possess adequate knowledge in Tamil.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms. No maximum age limit (i.e candidates should not have completed 58 years) for SC/ SC(A), ST, MBC/DC, BC(OBCM), BCM and Destitute Widows of all castes.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination and Oral Test. The Examination will be held on 24/08/2019 at the following centres- Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore, Tiruchirappalli, Tirunelveli, Salem, Thanjavur, Villupuram, Vellore, Krishnagiri and The Nilgiris. Oral Test will be conducted tentatively in December, 2019.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.150/- as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. Note: It is mandatory for candidates to register their basic particulars through One-Time online Registration system on payment of Rs.150/- towards registration fee.
