JUNIOR TRAINEES
No. of Vacancies: 530 Nos. (UR-213, OBC-147, SC-90, ST-10, EWS-70. Out of which, 27 posts are reserved for PWD)

iii) Metallurgy: 86 posts

Educational Qualification: Matric/ SSC with full time ITI/ Diploma in Engineering in respective trades/ disciplines with 60% marks in regular ITI/ Diploma in Engineering (50% marks for SC/ST/PwBD candidates) in all subjects of all semesters/ years.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years as on 01/07/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs.16,800-24,110/-
2. OPERATOR CUM MECHANIC TRAINEES (OCM TRAINEE)
No. of Vacancies: 29 Nos. (UR-13, OBC-07, SC-05, ST-01, EWS-03)
Educational Qualification: Matric/ SSC (10th Standard) with full time ITI (02 years and above duration with NCVT Certificate in any trade) or Diploma in Engineering courses in any discipline with valid Heavy Motor Vehicle License (Transport). Candidates should have 60% marks in regular ITI/ Diploma in Engineering (50% marks for SC/ST/PwBD candidates) in all subjects of all semesters/ years.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years as on 01/07/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs.16,800-24,110/-
Additional permissible qualification, if any for the above posts:- Intermediate, B.Sc, B.Com & BA.
Note:- Candidates with professional degrees e.g., BE/ B.Tech, BL, BHMS etc., MBA/ Post Graduation or above are not eligible to apply.
Preference will be given to Displaced Persons (DPs) of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP).
The candidates selected for the posts will undergo Training for a period of Twenty Four (24) months. During training period, candidates with ITI qualification have to undergo one year Skill Development Course with certification from National Skill Development Corporation, which may be extended for cases where progress during training is found not satisfactory. During Training, candidates will be paid a monthly Stipend of Rs.10,700/- for the 1st year and Rs.12,200/- for the remaining period of training. On satisfactory completion of training, the candidates will be on Probation.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Online Computer Based Test followed by Certificate Verification and Medical Examination. Online Test will be conducted at Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kakinada, Mumbai, Patna, Ranchi, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Vijayanagaram.
