Karnataka State Police is recruiting 304 posts of Sub-Inspector (Civil) (PSI, Civil), Armed Reserve Sub-Inspector of Police (RSI, CAR/DAR) and Sub-Inspector (Wireless). Interested and eligible candidates willing to apply for the vacancies may submit online application form through the official website of KSP (See URL below). KARNATAKA STATE POLICE INVITES APPLICATION FOR 304 SI (CIVIL), ARMED RESERVE SI (CAR/DAR) AND SI (WIRELESS). LAST DATE – 07/10/2014.

1. Sub-Inspector of Police (Civil) (PSI, CIVIL): 233 Nos.

2. Armed Reserve Sub-Inspector of Police (RSI, CAR/DAR): 52 Nos.

3. Police Sub-Inspector (Wireless): 19 Nos.

 

Education Qualification:

For PSI Civil and RSI CAR/DAR: Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

For PSI (Wireless): Degree in Science in Physics/Electronics/Electricals/Computer  Science/Telecommunication or Equivalent with 50% (for Gen) and 45% (for SC/ST/OBC).

 

Age Limit: 21 to 28 for PSI (Civil) and 21 to 26 for RSI (CAR/DAR and PSI Wireless). The upper age limit is relaxation for reserved category as per Govt. norms. See URL given below for details.

 

Mode of Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test, Viva-Voce, Endurance Test (ET) and Physical Standard Test (PST). Date, Time & Venue for examination will be intimated in due course.

 

Physical Standard (for both posts):
For Male Candidates: – (i) Height – 168cms (ii) Chest- 86 Cms- When fully expanded (Minimum Expansion must be 5 Cms).

For Female Candidates: – (i) Height – 157cms (ii) Weight – 45 kg.

 

Endurance Test (for both posts):

For Male Candidates: – (i) Race – 1600 Mtrs in 7 Mins for PSI (Civil) and 1600 Mtrs in 6.30 Mins for RSI (CAR/DAR) (ii) Long Jump /High Jump – 3.80 mtrs/1.20 mtrs (in 3 chance only) (iii) Shotput (7.26kg): 5.60 Mtrs (in 3 chance only).

For Female Candidates:- (i) Race – 400 Mtrs in 2 Min (ii) Long Jump/High Jump – 2.50 Mtrs/0.90 Mtrs (in 3 chance only) (iii) Shotput 4Kg – 3.75Mtrs (in 3 chance only).

Upon successful submission of online application, the system generated registration slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it and shall retain the same for future correspondence.
