KARNATAKA TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST (KARNATAKA TET- KARTET 2016)
- TEACHER FOR CLASSES I-V
Educational Qualification: PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 02 year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 04 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 02 year Diploma in Education OR
B.A / B. Sc Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- TEACHER FOR CLASSES VI- VIII
Educational Qualification: B.A / B. Sc Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 02 year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
B.A / B.Sc Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 01 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) OR
PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 04- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 04 year B.A /B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed /B.Sc.Ed. OR
B.A / B.Sc Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 01 year B.Ed.
- TEACHER FOR CLASSES I- VIII
Educational Qualification: PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
B.A / B.Sc Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary
Note: Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks for the candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC / ST / C-I / Differently abled.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination. Written Examination will be held at 18.12.2016 (09.30 am to 12.00 pm for paper-I and 2pm to 4:30pm for paper-II)

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- for SC/ST/CI candidates) for one paper and Rs.800/- (Rs. 400/- for SC/ST/CI candidates) for both paper as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Bank only by means of Fee Payment Challan. Fee Challan can be downloaded from the official website of Department of Public Instruction, Govt. of Karnataka. NO EXAMINATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF PWD CANDIDATES.

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
