Kolkata High Court’s Appellate Side is recruiting 99 Boys/Girls for the post of “Group-D” (Peon, Orderly, Darawan, Night Guard, Foras, and Cleaner). (Few days ago submission of Application was paused and recently it is restarted, so the candidates who have submitted their application before, need not to apply again.)
Class Eight Pass boys/girls can apply for the post. Should have knowledge in writing and reading Bengali and English. Degree course pass candidates were not applicable to apply.
Age should be between 18 years to 32 years as on 4-2-2011. 5 years relaxation will be given for SC/ST candidates.
Pay Scale: Rs. 4900- 16200 and Grade pay: Rs. 1700.
Selection of candidates: Candidates will be selected through Written Test of 100 marks of Objective Multiple Types Questions. Questions will be on following topics: (i) Arithmetic, (ii) General Knowledge, (iii) General Intelligence and (4) English. If selected, test will be taken on basis of applied post.

How to apply: Application can be created with the information mentioned below on plain paper. Along with application form, candidates should submit the following documents:
All documents should be attested by Gazetted Officer.
- Copy of Birth Certificate
- Copy of Caste Certificate, for SC/ST and OBC Candidates
- Copy of Educational Certificates and Mark sheet
- Copy of other experience/qualification Certificate, if any
- Recent 2 nos. passport size photographs with self-sign on it. One copy affixed on right side of the application and other copy attached with application form.
- One self addressed envelope of size 25cmX11cm with postal stamp of Rs. 5 affixed on it.
- Postal Order of Rs. 100 (Rs. 25 if SC/ST) in favour of “Registrar General, High Court, Calcutta” and payable at: Calcutta.
Do not self attested the copies of documents, all documents should be attested by Gazetted Officer only and do not submit more than one application, doing so will lead cancellation of application form.
Application Format: Application can be neatly typed on plain paper which should contain the following information and then can be filled with own handwriting.
1. Full Name of the Candidate (in capital letters), 2. Father’s/ Husband’s Name, 3. Date of Birth, 4. Actual age on the date of application, 5. Address (present and permanent) with telephone No. if any, 6. Educational Qualification, 7. Whether belongs to S.C./S.T./O.B.C., 8. Nationality, 9. I.P.O. No., amount and date, 10. Date and Signature.
Application should be addressed to: The Registrar General, High Court, Kolkata-700 027. Application can be sent through Registry post. Candidates can submit the application directly by visiting the address during office hours.
Last date to apply: 11 April 2011.
N.B.: Candidates who have applied before need not to resubmit the application again.
