Recruitment of few hundreds of Boys/Girls for the Post of “Lower Division Clerk” and “Data Entry operator” through Staff Selection Commission, Central Govt. of India.

Central Government—for recruitment in various offices for the posts of “Lower Division Clerk” and “Data Entry Operator”, application are invited from Higher Secondary pass Boys and Girls.

Job will be on Group “X” and “Y”. Job posting for the Group-X categories will be on following offices/divisions—Armed Forces head Quarters, Election Commission of India, Indian Foreign Service Grade-IV, Ministry of parliamentary Affairs, Presidents Secretariat, Central Vigilance Commission, Directorate of Forensic Science, Intelligence Bureau, Coast Guard, New Delhi, Central Bureau of Investigation, Office of Controller General of Accounts and others.
Job posting for the Group-Y categories will be on following offices/divisions—Controller and Audit General of India, Accountant General (Audit), Accounts General (Accounts and Establish), Controller General of Defence Accounts and Others.

1. Lower Division Clerk: Higher Secondary pass boys and girls in any stream with ability to type 35 words per minute in Computer in English may apply for the post. No. of vacant posts will be known later

2. Data Entry Operator: Higher Secondary pass in any stream with ability to make key depression of 8000 in per hour may apply for the post. No. of vacant posts will be known later.

Age limits: For both of the two posts, candidates should be between 18-27yrs as on 1-8-2011. Age relaxation: OBC-3yrs; SC/ST-5yrs, PH-10yrs, Widow or legally divorced women and not re-married- 8yrs and Ex-Serviceman- as per govt. norms.

Pay Scale: Rs.5200 to Rs.20200.

Candidates’ selection: Selection of candidates will be made by “Staff Selection Commission (SSC)”, through the Examination of “Combined higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination, 2011 for Recruitment of Data Entry Operator and Lower Division Clerks”.


Written Test will be held on 4th December at their respective centres. Written Test will be of Objective Multiple Choice Types and will be on following topics—(i) General Intelligence- 50marks, 50 questions; (ii) English Language (Basic Knowledge)- 50marks, 50questions; (iii) numerical Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic Skill)- 50marks, 50 questions; (iv)General Awareness- 50marks, 50 question.
Total time allotted- 2hrs; Exam time- 10AM to 12 PM.

How to Apply: Application can be made either Offline or Online.
Candidates willing to apply offline may prepare the application according to the given format. On the application form- (i) paste recent passport size photo and (ii) Central recruitment fee of Rs.100.
Fee stamp is not required for candidates from SC/ST, PH, Widow/Divorcee and Ex-Serv.’ categories.

Candidates willing to make Online application, may visit the official website of Staff Selection Commission (SSC)—http://ssc.nic.in and do as instructed on the website.
Before applying online candidates requires to deposit the exam fee of Rs.100 through any branch of State Bank of India through fee challan or can opt for Net Banking. For opting to pay through fee challan, candidates should do the Part-I registration and then make print-out of the fee challan. After depositing the fee, they can go for Part-II registration.
Candidates willing to pay exam fee through Net-Banking can go continuously for Part-I and part-II registration.

For Offline method—The application should reach within 16th September (23 Sept. For North-Eastern States and Andaman-Nicobar along with Tripura) at their respective address (for list of address, please visit the official site of SSC as mentioned above)
For Online method—Online application can be made till dated- 14th September 2011.
