EAST COAST RAILWAY, RAILWAY RECRUITMENT CELL INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR 08 LEVEL- 1 AND LEVEL- 2 POSTS AGAINST SCOUTS AND GUIDES QUOTA FOR THE YEAR 2019-20. LAST DATE — 28/12/2019
1. LEVEL- 2 POST
No. of Vacancies: 02 Nos. (East Coast Railway Hqs)
Educational Qualification: i) 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate for Non Technical Popular Categories.
Note: 50% marks are not required for SC /ST/ Ex-servicemen candidates and for candidates possessing higher qualification like Graduation/ Post Graduation.
OR
ii) A pass in Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized Board and having ITI certificate for the artisan posts (Tech-III).
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years as on 01/01/2020.
2. LEVEL- 1 POST
No. of Vacancies: 06 Nos. (Waltair-02, Khurda-02, Sambalpur-02)
Educational Qualification: i) 10th pass.
OR
ii) ITI or equivalent.
OR
iii) National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 33 years as on 01/01/2020.
Scout and Guide Qualification:
The following qualifications are mandatory for recruitment of Scout and Guide posts in both Level-1 and Level-2:-
i) A President’s Scout/ Guide/ Rover/ Ranger OR Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any section.
ii) Should have been an active member of a Scouts organization for the last 05 years.
iii) Should have attended two events at National level OR All Indian Railways’ level.
iv) Should have attended two events at State level.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
The vacancies are against Scouts and Guides Quota for the year 2019-20 in East Coast Railway.
NOTE- Those candidates who are appearing at and/ or awaiting results of final examination are not eligible to apply.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Test and Marks on Certificate.

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO EAST COAST RAILWAY, RAILWAY RECRUITMENT CELL AT THIS STAGE.
