SOUTH WESTERN RAILWAY, RAILWAY RECRUITMENT CELL IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR VACANCIES AGAINST SCOUTS & GUIDES QUOTA FOR THE YEAR 2019-20. LAST DATE — 20/01/2020 (04/02/2020)
1. LEVEL- 2
No. of Vacancies: 02 Nos. (South Western Railway)
Educational Qualification: Passed 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination from recognized Board with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate (50% marks are not required for SC/ ST/ Ex-servicemen candidates and candidates possessing higher qualification like Graduation/ Post Graduation from recognized Institutions).
OR
Passed Matriculation plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship/ ITI approved by NCVT/ SCVT from recognized Institution for the post of Technical categories.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years as on 01/01/2020.
2. LEVEL- 1
No. of Vacancies: 08 Nos. (Hubballi- 02, Bengaluru-02, Mysuru Division-02, Rail Wheel Factory, Yelahanka-02)
Educational Qualification: 10th pass OR ITI OR Equivalent OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT/ SCVT from recognized Institution.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 33 years as on 01/01/2020.
Scouts and Guides Qualification:
The following qualifications are required for recruitment of Scouts and Guides to the posts in Level-2 and Level-1:-
i) A President Scout/ Guide/ Rover/ Ranger OR Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any section.
ii) Should have been an active member of a Scouts organization for the last 05 years.
iii) Should have attended two events at National level OR All Indian Railways’ level and two events at State level.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
The vacancies are against Scouts and Guides Quota for the year 2019-20 on South Western Railway and Rail Wheel Factory, Yelahanka.
The selected candidates will undergo prescribed training course as applicable for the post.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Test and Marks on Certificates.
