Librarianship Training at Govt College

Admission in Certificate Course in Librarianship is going on in People’s (Janata) Govt. College, Banipur North 24 Pgs. You can take admission as a “Fresher” or “Deputed” candidate

Who can apply?
Indian citizen residing in the district of south Bengal (i.e. districts other than Jalpaiguri, Coochbehar, Uttar Dinajpur, Dakshin Dinajpur, Malda & Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad and DGHC area of Darjeeling district) are eligible to apply.

Name of the Course: Librarianship

Duration of Course: 6months

Total Seats: 50- out of which 35 reserved for Freshers/outsiders (incl. SC/ST) and remaining 15 reserved for Deputed candidates of Govt./Govt. Sponsored/ Aided Libraries of West Bengal under the control of Directorate of Library services, west Bengal.

Qualification:
(a). For fresher/Outsider: Passed in Higher Secondary or Equivalent
(b). For Deputed candidates: Passed in Madhyamik or equivalent and minimum five years working experience in govt./govt. aided/sponsored Libraries.

Age: 18- 30 yrs for fresher/outsiders (relaxable age given for reserved candidate as per Govt. norms). No age limit for Deputed candidates.

Last Date to Apply: Application should reach within- 06.11.2010 upto 4 pm

Enclosure of Documents along with application:
1. Attested copy of certificate/admit card and mark sheet of Madhyamik or equivalent examination
2. Attested copy of SC/ST certificate
3. For proof of residence in the district/locality- Attested copy of Employment exchange card/Ration card/Voter’s card
4. Two recent passport sized photograph with self signature (one paste in application form and other enclosed with form)
5. One self Addressed envelope, 27cmX12cm (without stamp).

Candidates applying as Deputed category should enclosed the below mentioned documents along with above mentioned documents.
1. Recommendation letter of the concerned District Library Officer.
2. Original application of the incumbent
3. Copy of the LLA’s recommendation
4. Copy of the appointment letter of the incumbent
6. any other relevant document/ information on the above matter.
