Parliament of India, Joint Recruitment Cell is inviting application from the eligible candidates for 23 posts of Parliamentary Interpreter (Gr.II, Group A) and Hindi Assistant (Group B). PARLIAMENT OF INDIA, LOK SABHA SECRETARIAT IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 23 POSTS OF PARLIAMENTARY INTERPRETER (GR.II, GROUP A) AND HINDI ASSISTANT (GROUP B). LAST DATE — 31/08/2015 (07/09/2015 for far flung areas)

 

1. Parliamentary Interpreter Grade.II: 11 Nos. (UR-7; SC-1; ST-1; OBC-2)
Language & No. of posts are as follows:- English/Hindi- 04; Bodo-01; Dogri-01; Gujarati-01; Kashmiri-01; Konkani-01; Santhali-01; Sindhi-01

Educational Qualification:
For English/Hindi Interpreters: Master’s degree in English from a recognised university with medium of Hindi language up to Degree Level OR Master’s degree in Hindi from a recognised university with medium of English language up to Degree Level.

For Regional Language Interpreters: Master’s degree in English or any other discipline (with English as a medium of instruction) from a recognised university with regional language concerned up to Degree Level.

Desirable (for all languages): Experience in translation or interpretation work and Certificate in computer course recognised by AICTE/DOEACC or courses equivalent to ‘O’ Level in terms of syllabus and duration of course as prescribed by DOEACC.

Age Limit: Maximum 27 yrs for English/Hindi Interpreters and Maximum 27 yrs for Regional Language Interpreters as on 31/08/2015

Pay Scale: Rs.15600 – Rs.39100 and Grade pay – Rs.5400/-

 

 

2. Hindi Assistant: 12 Nos. (UR-7; ST-1; OBC-4)

Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Hindi from a recognised university with English as a subject at the Degree Level OR Master’s Degree in English from a recognised university with Hindi as a subject at the Degree Level OR Master’s Degree in any subject from a recognised university with Hindi and English as subjects at the Degree Level OR Master’s Degree in any subject with Hindi medium from a recognised university and English as a subject at the Degree Level OR Master’s Degree in any subject with English medium from a recognised university and Hindi as a subject at the Degree Level.

Age Limit: Maximum 27yrs as on 31/08/2015

Pay Scale: Rs.9300 – Rs.34800/- and Grade Pay of Rs.4600/-

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD & as per Govt. norms for Ex-Servicemen & others

 

Candidates’ Selection:
For the post of Parliamentary Interpreters
, the selection of the candidates will be through Oration Test/Written Test/Simultaneous Interpretation Test/Personal Interview. The examination for the English/Hindi Stream will be held at Delhi; Bodo at Guwahati (Assam); Dogri at Jammu; Kashmiri at Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir); Gujarati and Sindhi at Ahmedabad (Gujarat); Konkani at Panaji (Goa); and Santhali at Ranchi (Jharkhand).

For the post of Hindi Assistant, selection will be through Written Examination (Preliminary and Main Written Examination). If the number of candidates is in large then the Written Examination may be taken at Chennai, Kolkata and Mumbai beside Delhi.

The Application form should reach by Post only. Do not send it by Courier or by hand. Candidates can put their applications in the box kept for the purpose at the Reception Office, Parliament House Annexe, New Delhi. However, no acknowledgement will be issued for the same.
