Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) is recruiting 159 “Mining Sirdar” and “Dy. Surveyor” and 147 “Electrician Cat.III (T)”. Selection of the candidates will be through Written test and Interview. 1. Mining Sirdar, T&S Grade ‘C’
Number of Vacancies: 154 Nos. (Gen—36; SC—28; ST—79; OBC—11)
Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent pass and shall possess valid Certificate of— (i) Mining Sirdarship Certificate, (ii) First Aid Certificate and (iii) Gas Testing Certificate
Candidates having 3yrs Diploma course in Mining Engineering as well as possess valid Overman Competency Certificate, First Aid and Gas Testing Certificate, may also apply.
2. Dy. Surveyor, T&S Grade ‘C’
Number of Vacancies: 05 Nos (SC—1; ST—4)
Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent and shall possess valid Survey Certificate of competency granted by Director General of Mines & Safety.
Age Limit (For both above posts): Minimum 18yrs and maximum 30yrs as on 07/03/2014. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.
Basic Pay (For Mining Sirdar/ Dy. Surveyor): Rs.19035.02 per month

1. Electrician Cat.III (T)
Number of Vacancies: 147 Nos. (Gen—75; SC—23; ST—32; OBC—17)
Educational Qualification: Matriculation pass and ITI with 02 years course plus one year training.
Candidates shall possess LT permit under Indian Electricity Rule for mines or 440-550 Volts Mining Parts Permit issued by Competent Authority applicable for coal mines.
Preference will be given to the candidates having HT permit for cable joining and overhead lines issued by the competent authority applicable to Coal mines and/ or Electrical Supervisory Certificate valid for mines.
Age Limit (for Electrician): Minimum 18yrs and maximum 30yrs as on 03/03/2014. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.
N.B: Female candidates and PWD candidates are not eligible to apply.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test and Interview. The candidates who will qualify the Written test will be only called for Interview.
