MANAGEMENT TRAINEE (ELECTRICAL)
No. of Vacancies: 100 Nos. (UR-46, SC-16, ST-33, SEBC-05. Out of the total posts, 04 posts are reserved for PWD, 03 posts for Ex-servicemen & 01 post for Sports Persons)
Educational Qualification: Degree in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering with at least 60% marks (50% marks is required for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates) in aggregate from a recognized University / Institution or Passing of Section-A&B of IE (India) in relevant discipline with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
Candidate must be able to read, write and speak Odia fluently and must have: (a) Passed Middle School Examination with Odia language subject; or (b) Passed Matriculation or examination with Odia as medium of examination in non-language subject; or (c) Passed in Odia as language subject in the final examination of class VII from a school or educational institution recognized by the Government of Odisha or the Central Government or (d) Passed a test in Odia in Middle English School Standard conducted by the School and Mass Education Department.
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 32 years as on 01/08/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs.56,100 -Rs.1,77,500/-
The selected candidates have to undergo training for a period of One (01) year at field units of OPTCL including induction training at Power Training Centre (PTC),Chandaka, Bhubaneswar. During the training period, candidates will be paid Stipend of Rs.24,000/- per month.
Reserved Category candidates from the states other than Odisha shall be treated as General Candidates.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Computer Based Test (CBT) and Personal Interview. The Computer Based Test (CBT) will be held at Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Berhampur Rourkela, Balasore, Sambalpur, Jeypore etc. The Computer Based Test (CBT) will be held tentatively in 4th week of October, 2018.
