Qualification: B.E or B.Tech in discipline of – Chemical/ Civil/ Computer Science/ Electrical/ Instrumentation/ Mechanical/ Metallurgy with minimum 60% of marks in aggregate of all years/ semesters. (50% in aggregate in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates). Course should be of full-time/ regular mode.
Candidates with Full time degrees in Engineering in Computer Science / Information Technology / MCA (three years) can also apply in discipline Computer Science, like wise Engineering degree in Instrumentation & Control / Electronics & Instrumentation /Electrical, Instrumentation & Control may apply for discipline of Instrumentation.
Candidates with Full time Engineering degree in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Electrical, Instrumentation & Control may apply in the discipline of Electrical and Candidates with full time engineering degree in Mechanical / Production may apply in discipline of Mechanical.
Age limit: Candidates should have not born earlier than 1st Feb 1987. Age relaxation—SC/ST-5yrs, OBC-3yrs, PWD- 10yrs and Others—as per norms.
Pay Scale: Rs.20600 – Rs.46500
Physical Status: Candidates should have sound health. Required height—150cms; Weight—45kgs minimum. Candidate should be free from any such defects which may hinder their performance. Women candidates will get suitable relaxation in height and weight.
Selection steps: Selection process will consists of Written Examination and Group Discussion/ Interview. The date and venue of examination will be informed later to the candidates. Written test may likely to hold on 10th June 2012.
Written Test will be held at Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai.
Application Fee: Application fee of Rs.500 + Rs.25 as bank’s charge for General and OBC candidates is required to deposit in any branch of State Bank of India. SC/ST/PWD candidates require no fee. Deposit the application through prescribed fee challan. Fee challan can be downloaded from the official site of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP). Application fee must be deposited in “RINL/VSP Recruitment Account No. 30589461220” at any Core Banking Branches of State Bank of India.
