MANAGEMENT TRAINEE (TECHNICAL)

Discipline wise vacancies:
i) Mechanical Engineering- 156 posts
ii) Metallurgical Engineering- 67 posts
iii) Electrical Engineering- 91 posts
iv) Chemical Engineering- 30 posts
v) Instrumentation Engineering- 36 posts
vi) Mining Engineering- 19 posts
Educational Qualification: i) Degree in Engineering with 65% marks (55% marks for SC/ ST/ PWD/ Departmental candidates) in Engineering the disciplines of Mechanical, Metallurgy, Electrical, Chemical, Instrumentation and Mining.
ii) The candidates should have appeared in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)- 2019 Examination in any of the engineering discipline papers, namely, Mechanical (ME), Metallurgical (MT), Electrical (EE), Chemical (CH), Instrumentation (IN) and Mining (MN).
Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as on 14/06/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs.20600 — Rs.46500 (Rs.24900- 50500/- after training)
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.

The candidates selected as Management Trainees (Technical) will be placed on Training for One year and will be registered as Apprentices under the provisions of Apprentices Act, 1961. After successful completion of training, the candidates will be placed under Probation for One year.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be done based on GATE- 2019 Scores, Group Discussion and Interview.

Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO STEEL AUTHORITY OF INDIA LIMITED (SAIL) AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
