MANAGEMENT TRAINEES (TECHNICAL)
No. of Vacancies: 142 Nos. (UR-59, OBC-38, SC-21, ST-10, EWS-14)
Discipline wise vacancies:
i) Mechanical Engineering: 66 posts
ii) Metallurgical Engineering: 07 posts
iii) Electrical Engineering: 41 posts
iv) Chemical Engineering: 10 posts
v) Instrumentation Engineering: 15 posts
vi) Mining Engineering: 03 posts
Educational Qualification: Degree in Engineering with 65% marks (55% marks for SC/ST/PWD/Departmental candidates) in respective discipline from recognized University/ Institution.
Note:- Candidates willing to apply for the post of Management Trainees (Technical) should have appeared in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)- 2019 Examination in any of the above disciplines.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 28 years as on 14/06/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs.24900-50500/-
The selected candidates will be placed on Training for One year. After successful completion of training, the candidates will be placed under Probation for One year. The candidates will be paid Basic Pay of Rs.20,600/- per month during the training period.
The candidates can be posted to any Plant/ Unit/ Mine location of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL).
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Physical Standards:
(i) Height — 155 cm; (ii) Weight — 45 kg
Candidates must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties. For more details please see the Official Advt.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through GATE- 2019 Score, Group Discussion and Interview.
