SAIL is recruiting 480 persons for the posts of Management Trainees (Technical) and Management Trainees (Administration) in E-1 grade. Application form can be submitted online from the official website of SAIL. Candidates who meets the below mentioned criteria may apply for the post. Details below—
1. Management Trainees (Technical): 408 Nos. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD – as per norms.

Qualification: Degree in Engineering with 65%, average of all semester, (55% marks for SC/ST/Departmental and PWD candidates) marks in any one of the discipline— Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgy, E&T, Instrumentation, Ceramics and Chemical Engineering. 2. Management Trainees (Administration): 78 Nos. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD – as per norms.
Vacancies were in the following discipline—

(ii) Materials
(iii) Finance
Qualification—
For HR and Materials discipline: Degree in any discipline with 60% marks in aggregate (50% marks for SC/ST/Departmental and PWD candidates) with atleast two years full time MBA/PG Diploma in Management with 60% marks in HR/PM&IR/Pers /MHROD for HR and Production/ Operations/ Materials Mgmt. for Materials disciplines.
For Finance discipline: CA/ ICWA
Age limit and relaxation: Candidates should be within 30yrs old as 1/5/2012. Age relaxation for OBC- 3yrs, SC/ST-5yrs, PWD- 10yrs, domicile of J&K- 5yrs. For departmental candidates, upper age limit is 45yrs.
Required Medical Standards were as follows—
For Management Trainees (Technical): Should be physically well built and free from any physical defect. Height—155cm, Weight—minimum 45 Kgs. Female candidates will get suitable relaxation in Height and Weight. Myopia and Hypermetropia, if any, not to exceed ± 4.00 in each eye and no squint or colour blindness, partial or full.
For management Trainees (Administration): Should be physically well built and free from any physical defect. Height—155cm, Weight—minimum 45 Kgs. Female candidates will get suitable relaxation in Height and Weight. Myopia and Hypermetropia, if any, not to exceed ± 6.00 in each eye.
Selection procedure: Candidates will be selected through Written Test. Qualified candidates from written test will be called for Group Discussion/ Interview.
Written Test which will be of Objective types will held at the following respective centres at— Agartala, Allahabad, Bangalore, Baroda, Bhilai, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Bokaro, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi (NCR), Durgapur, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Ranchi, Rourkela, Salem, Trichy, Vijaywada and Visakhapatnam.
Interested candidates may apply for both MT (Technical) and MT (Admin), in such cases they should apply separately. Written test will be on same day; Forenoon and Afternoon Session. Tentative date of Written Test is 17th June 2012. For details visit the official website of SAIL.

Candidates should deposit Registration fee of Rs.500 (Rs.100 for SC/ST/PH and Departmental candidates) through Pay-in-Slip at any branch of State Bank of India. Registration fee should be in a specially opened account (No. 32286155304) at CAG Branch, New Delhi, on behalf of SAIL. Candidates, if wish, can deposit the Registration fee through Online system.
After depositing the fee; submit the online application fee. After successful submission; a computer generated Registration Slip with unique registration no. will appear on the screen. Candidates should make print-out copy of this generated application form.
There is no need to send any documents or printed application to the office address of SAIL. All the original and copies of documents will need to produce during Written test/Interview.
During online registration candidates will require to provide scan image of passport size photo and signature. Keep them ready while making registration. Mention your valid email id. Any further correspondence will be made through emails only.
Last dates: Online application can be made by last 9th May 2012. Starting date for downloading Admit Card from SAIL’s website is 4th June 2012. Tentative date of written test—17th June 2012.
